Railroad snow fighters use Jordan Spreaders to clean up the right of way along California's Donner Pass in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I really like some of these drone videos. HD best viewed full screen.
These are pics taken by my old friend Charlie and I when he flew out to Canon City, CO from Chicago, and we drove down to take the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR trip. First one, me standing by one of the old locomotives they still used; this was in 1977, thus the poor quality. This one is a rotary snow plow used extensively back in the day, as the route wound through very high mountains, Charlie posing happily by it.
My hubby and I love trains. While dating we would take short day trips and search out old RR cars and engines. Then we bought a Lionel train set it was cheap back then- and set up a huge oval track that we added buildings to and all the things in order to make it look and feel like a town . We named it Mitchellville . I love d that thing, but had to let it go, when we had moved years ago, was no room for it.
