Good morning again now it's daylight, Cathy the daughter I live with has gone to work on a long day shift ( 12 hours ) at the local hospital, where she is a ward sister, its the second long day in a row, I don't know how she manages My grandson who also lives here is away at his fathers, so I am home alone and enjoying the peace. It's a calm dry day here for a change but cool at 3c ( 37f ) not sure how the day will unfold but hopefully it will be a good start to the new year. Have a great day everyone!
Yes, it is a New Year!!! Yea!!!! I made it through all the holidays. My wish for all of us is to wake up each day with a joy in our hearts, and a willingness to see the beauty set before us by our Creator. May we be strong enough to accept all that comes our way. And to be selfish, I hope each of us continue the friendships we have offered each other.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! There is a lot of flooding in this area and surrounding states. The rain has stopped but the water is still rising and expected to keep rising for several days in some areas. My shop building was almost surrounded with water but that's not too unusual. My house and other buildings are fine.
Oh dear Sheldon...I don't know what's going on with all this flooding this winter, it seems to be happening here in the North of England, and many places in the US as well...I feel terrible for those who are losing their homes and all their belongings!! Thank goodness your place is standing up to it.... Altho' we've had a lot of rain here in the South we've not had any flooding like the North, and even when it rains hard we're fortunate that our house is on high land..having a property near lakes and rivers is a nightmare during storms

Good morning from a damp dark Worcester at 7am, I will walk over to my daughter Caroline's home about 3 miles, later this morning and have a chat, a coffee and sort out some email problems on her laptop. I am the families computer/IT fixer until my brain finally gives up on the ever increasing complexities of our gadgets. I am going on Monday to stay with Lisa in Bracknell a town near London for 10 days, to help look after her grandchildren while their parents are away on holiday, so will need to pack some things to take with me. Have a great day on this first weekend in the new year I am not laughing at you Holly you have my sympathies working at the weekend, ......working any time for that matter hope it's not too taxing. This looks much better for you

Good morning friends on this quiet Sunday morning from a peaceful house on top of a hill overlooking Worcester, its 6am or was when I started and I feel full of loving thoughts for the world and its people.
