Overcoming the Obama years takes time. Some of his incompetence may never be rectified. Trump ran on a platform that shed light on problems. Trying to address the problems is meeting with resistance/obstruction by democrats.

This site has as super long list of Obama failures
    http://martinoauthor.com/list-obama-failures/

This one a list of Trump successes
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...p-achievements-11-obama-legacy-items-repealed

History will judge which served the interest of America best. IMO right now the scale of accomplishments despite democrats, is tipping in favor of Trump.

I can't think of anything happening now that would negatively impact my wife & me. But whatever happens that reflects badly on either political party will surely be included in up coming presidential & congressional races.

Audacious. When Shirley Martin told Joy:
"I think perhaps that @Joy Martin would be more comfortable on one of the "I hate Trump" boards than here. It seems that she is not making too many friends here." I thought that was the rudest, meanest thing I've ever seen on this board--and I like Shirley, as I do most of you. Why didn't you comment then, Yvonne?

Inflammatory accusations against a public person who put himself where he is? I hardly think so. Compare Joy's remarks to so many inflammatory accusations made on these pages against other people in public life. That is a reason why this board appears to others as a clique whose goal is to hang as one and drive out any who disagree. Politics is fair game. President Chump does not require special treatment here, or does he?

Surprised you would take this action, Yvonne. Unevenhanded. I'm disappointed in you, dear girl.

    See you guys later.

Thanks LuLu and I'll say first that when I worked as a child care provider I had two little girls in a family and the baby was LuLu Belle and I've always loved that name. Cute name. Thanks for a hand holding here, it's appreciated.

I'm confused again. I thought the rules were that we weren't supposed to offend, or be rude, to each other.

If Joy's post had said, "If only Obama had 1/8 the Trump smarts..." would it be OK to post a supporting link then? lol

When this happened in 2009 think with the help of Obama who blew it out of all proportion it helped to rekindle Race hate..

Never trusted the man after that.

Trump is head and shoulders better.

I like Trump, do I think he's perfect, no, I think he's human. I do believe he's the only thing standing between freedom and socialism. I think the dems are really ticked off he threw a money wrench in their plans and they can't stand it. He has my vote for 2020 as well as every republican running for office in the next election. I am petrified that we have people in office right now with questionable motives. I hate that we have people who believe that it's OK to kill babies at full term. I think he's all we have right now out side of an all out civil war to saving this country.

Full term abortions? But it's OK to go all over the world killing innocent people and babies/children in all the wars we go into and often start.

As an "all-out civil war" is mentioned in the quote, I should like to say that such a possibility is of the remotest probability.

No wars are not OK and neither is killing the unborn.

Let me say that it is good to see you again, @Lulu Moppet , and I have missed you. You always add interest to the forum, and have a wonderful, caring nature about you.
Even though we sometimes disagree on issues, I really enjoy you as a person.

As far as my comment about rude posts, there is a huge difference between disagreeing about some topic, and deliberately going through and posting just inflammatory posts, in whatever the topic is about, and I do not mean just political.
I didn’t see anything rude about Shirley’s post because Joy herself said she didn’t come here to make friends, and she hasn’t posted friendly comments (like support for Holly or Sheldon or Babs), or shown any indication that she even enjoys being here. I also suggested another forum where I thought she would feel more in tune with all of the other members, as far as political threads.

I am not sure why you call my post “taking action”, since all I did was write something that is about how we treat each other in this forum, and there was not any kind of “action” taken.
My job here is as a greeter, which means that I do my best to help people, and fix errors when we have something in a thread or a title that needs to be changed or moved or merged with another thread.
I am at heart , a peace-keeper, and dislike hate and rudeness in any form, and if you read my posts, I think you will realize that, Lulu.

Reading this a bit and I'm not getting into personalities but people enter our lives either in person or online and some feel comfy and soothing and some feel thorny and prickly. This is true of the forums and the "gang" here before I arrived have known each other more or less a long time. Yes, I feel a comfort with some in the short time and some NOT. But I'm willing to play for a while, how long who knows.

    @Joy Martin
That reminds me of a line uttered by Bela Lugosi in one of his macabre movies, while displaying some sort of tiny monster within a cage......"Theese eese no karvivahl hocoose pocoose"! His accent cost the loss of some important parts to competing actors.

After getting old enough to have outgrown those childhood fears and nightmares, I became quite a fan of Lugosi and Karloff both.
