I had mine cut this morning by a Podiatrist that comes to our facility on a regular basis. It's all part of the services provided. I would cut or injure my toes if I tried doing it myself. As we age, toe nail cutting becomes more difficult and even dangerous.
Yep! Not a problem (yet). Our friend Gary in Indiana, a few years older than I, can no longer put on his socks; his wife aids him in this. I suppose nail-cutting also. Frank
The worst thing is if one isn't totally smooth and you realize it in the middle of the night as it snags on the sheet.
Yes, I do my own after a shower or foot soak. The foot soak is when I can enjoy reading or a movie -- my alone time.
I have sliced a sheet or two with a very sharp toe nail that needed cutting. I even cut the other leg and caused a slight bleed. That would sure be tough on a bed partner if I had one.
@Bess Barber My snags occur pulling on my socks. That reveals the sharp corners and I proceed to bite them off! Frank @Lon Tanner Your other leg was your partner! Frank
I suppose a time comes when you can't get down there. It's bad enough being old without the indignity of having to pay someone to attend to your personal grooming! I must make a point of keeping myself flexible enough to still do mine.
Sure I cut my own toenails! But the problem is, I have to use a fingernail clipper because I can't find a toenail clipper! Hal
