Four hours Or more just disappears so fast. I have never ever had activity go by so fast.

    @Lon Tanner

I've noted that, and it scares me.......will I go quicker?

For me, that is kind of the point. I get up so early in the morning, until by early evening, I'm ready to hang out at a different part of the house than the TV area. Being online helps me pass the time until I go to bed.

Yep; I definitely notice that. I can sit down "for a minute" to check email, and suddenly it's 4 hours later. :D

Makes me wonder about all the people walking around staring in a cellphone trance; is their life just passing them by?

You may have just coined a very appropriate new phrase! I've seen folks so mesmerized, they bumped into things and others.

You're all wrong about "time passing faster" when you're in an Internet discussion.

It's merely an illusion, and you know it is.

It takes 8 minutes and 32 seconds for light to travel from the Sun to the Earth.

If the Sun should suddenly become a dark star at 2:17 PM, we wouldn't know it until 2:25 PM.

@Hal Pollner Well, NO, time doesn't actually go slower or faster, it just feels like it does.
    Nice shoes. Nice picture. :D

Albert Einstein believed that TIME in and of itself, does not exist! Time is a concept which is man-made (or, woman), not an entity of Nature.

If so, then a Wormhole might actually allow an event to exist at the same time in two widely separated places.

As to the original question... For me, some days time flies, and some days it doesn't. Depends on whether I'm following something I'm interested in, or just beating in time, often to keep from doing something else I should be doing but don't want to.

This happens with me too. It confirms the old saying "Time flies when you're having fun".

My fastest half-hour occurs daily watching Wheel of Fortune. The only TV show I watch regularly, except when some fluke on "HAG-TV" butts in.

Time is nature's way of keeping everything from happening at once.

I participate in surveys throughout the day and sometimes does fly by when I'm on a 20 minute survey that ends up being 25 or 30 minutes long. It's those free text questions that get me every time. What shall I say? How shall I say it?

Totally true. Seems like the things we enjoy the most, are the things that are on the " No Speed Limit zone ". How can we slow things down so we can enjoy forever. My time on here is my most favorite.
