Thanks, Hal. I was afraid it might have been since it's so exposed. Nonetheless, many people often stay where they are and take the risk although they often don't get insurance cover any longer.

This is where I spent the first 7 years of my life.. Engadine. It was situated about 30kms from the Sydney CBD. It was semi rural with one school, post office, picture theatre (below) Even had its own golf course (see attached file)

I remember those carts, Craig..they were known as 'buggies'. The boys used to have races with them. When I was 10, my then boyfriend made one. His mother gave him some material to make a canopy, and I proudly sat inside while he drove it. Unfortunately, there were no brakes and he lost control going down a hill! I was tipped out, unhurt thankfully, but I refused to ride in it again.

You talking about my billy cart story @Rosie Sinclair. Only room for one in our billy carts. Girls were not allowed for a time until a friend of mine won a race. We could hardly bar them anymore.;)

You guys have all these wonderful memories that should be in a coffee table book.
When I grew up, our favorite thing was frog gigging.
Now just for sport, we actually fried the legs. Tastes pretty much like chicken.
