This is a news item, but I am putting it here because the question of UFOs has been treated as a conspiracy theory for decades now, and this is likely to continue. Remember, not all conspiracy theories are false, and there may even be some truth to the paranormal.

The paranormal. And strange little men who crash-landed way back in the mid-2. century west of Roswell new Mexico. The rumor persisted and grew, taking on stupendous proportions......strange-looking little figurines sought by tourists, wishing to take home effigy-like proof that they had visited and seen the place......the place where aliens landed!

What utter hogwash! I serviced the Sears store there, saw the incredible airport runway, military, 15 miles long, watched Japan Airlines 747s touching down and immediately taking off again, in training sessions for pilots.

And wondered. Why here, in such a desolate, and God-forsaken place? But, it had become famous. My boss, who had grown up there, an orphan of military parentage, raised by his grandmother, who lived in Roswell forever, joined my co-worker and I there once to replace a big bearing in an air-conditioning unit at the Sears store. Riding with him, he pointed out a cemetery along the way, and said he had a brother buried there, killed at 13 on his bike by a drunk driver......

I had never felt as close to my boss before, as I did then. He was a wonderful guy.

His name was DiNapoli , as Italian as it could get.

One of the things that keeps circulating around in the conspiracy realm, is the possibility of a faked alien invasion from space. The government has Project Blue Beam, which is about holograms being used to deceive people that we are being invaded by aliens, and then using this to initiate a world government.
It seems that there are two sides to this, one side is convinced that we are in contact with actual aliens (from the Pleiades ) and that they are secretly working with President Trump and the “White Hats” to save the earth from takeover by the Deep State.
The organization is supposedly known as Earth Alliance, or something similar to that, and the people who believe this is taking place, think that the space aliens are good , and are going to save the earth.

The other side, mainly Christians, who do not believe in aliens, believe that something like this will appear to happen at some point, but that it will be faked by our government (maybe in collusion with other country’s leaders ?) to bring in a one world government .
Still another variation is that is will be faked as a religious activity, with Jesus coming for Christians, and other religions also seeing what they think is a return of their god, and will then follow obediently whatever they are told, as they believe they are entering the millennium of peace on earth.

I personally believe that if we could wrap our heads around Quantum Physics, there are a great many paranormal things going on around us. The problem is, without knowledge of that particular science, people tend to take something they don't understand....down to a level they do understand and make up answers which have nothing to do with what it really is. Therefore, the fascinating truths of our universe are turned into cartoon like explanations. I think lots of people do the same thing when it comes to understanding the Bible. The don't really know what something means, so they make up an answer within the limited understanding they have. As humans, we seem to want to avoid saying...."I really don't know" and leave it there.

In the past, when a service member reported a flying object(s) that they could not identify as being akin to something produced on earth, that service member’s career was in question.
The stigma attached to any sighting were such that most military people would just keep it to themselves until such a time when their career was no longer threatened.
For any portion of our military services to move forward and encourage documentation of such events is, to me, an acknowledgement that there are some things beyond our comprehension that need to be studied.

As @Bess Barber alluded to, there is nothing on this earth or in the heavens that can be fully explained by thinking on the macro level. The reality of it is that what we see, isn’t what is there but merely that which we presently understand. Many times, what one has written off as a feat of the imagination can be closer to reality than one wishes to admit for such imaginations are the brain’s inability to fill in the blanks with an afore learned piece of information.

Historically, many many things that were thought to be impossibilities are now found to not only be possible but are a part of our daily lives. Also in history, some of those who voiced a possibility to that which was heretofore known to be impossible, found themselves socially discredited and some even faced death.

It’s interesting that @Ken Anderson placed this thread in the abnormal (and conspiracy) section in that truthfully, to think outside the box and to fully acknowledge that there are things beyond our present understanding is indeed, an abnormal way of thinking.

US Navy Confirms Unidentified Aerial Phenomena in Previously Released Videos

In December 2017 and March 20108, the New York Times released three allegedly declassified videos showing US Navy pilots trailing some unidentified flying objects. The crafts moved at hypersonic speeds, flying tens of thousands of feet above the Earth with no distinct wings, engines, or visible signs of propulsion whatsoever. -- CBS News
