WHAT????? We probably have a couple of months or more before we even pull out any sweaters. During the whole winter, I may wear a coat 4-5 times. Maybe.
I would have said the same until yesterday... but we've had 2 days back up to 80, so it's been warm in the house in the evening, so had to have the fans back on... Gonna be warm again all week.. I'm sitting here 1am.. just in a Cami top and shorts!!....
This morning, at 7AM, it is 51 degrees outside, but will warm up to 90 today. Last week, two roads in the higher elevations of Rocky Mountain National Park, above 10,000 feet, were closed due to some snow and overnight cold temps. So, we are now going into the "jeans in the AM and shorts in the PM" type of weather.
Not there yet for cold. 81 this morning but with high humidity at 21% .3 mph wind so great day for 5 mile walk in the park.
I just want to let y'all know that that picture I posted Jan. 8, 2018 is a rarity for us. Our daytime winter temps are mostly in the 40s and 50s.
Today 75, tomorrow 77, then the bottom falls out for weather. Thursday, high of 32 and low of 17 with snow flurries. But, the next day, Friday, daytime temp jumps up 15 degrees to 47 degrees, but early morning low still cold at 24. Then, by Sunday, daytime high will be almost 70. A 1-day snow and folks are buying snow tires like mad here. As for us, we have All-Terrain tires on our Durango, plus All-Wheel or 4-Wheel Drive Lock. However, we don't plan on going anywhere on Thursday!
Snowing right now at 9AM Thursday Oct 10th. We have some 2 1/2 inches on the ground and still lightly coming down. Roof and hood of our Durango covered! It's 23 degrees as well. We knew, when we moved back here, that snow/cold is just part of this area and all of the states surrounding us. Last time we seen snow was Christmas Day 2010 when it was snowing in our apartment complex in Jacksonville, Florida. I got video of that.
Our weather has been absolutely beautiful the past couple of days. All nice and breezy without the AC on. I wish it stayed like this all year.
