My hairdresser asked what I had been doing lately. When I told her I joined a senior's forum. She said, "They really have such a thing? What do they talk about, the weather and their health?" When I explained all the forums and I had in fact not seen one to discuss weather, she insisted I look again. Do we have such a forum?

Under Science and Nature, we have a sub forum about weather. It is also often discussed in the Good Morning thread, @Faye Fox.

At least a couple of them. Weather is only boring when everyone lives in the same place. I think it's interesting to hear about the weather elsewhere.
Also, it's not just the thread topics that make a forum entertaining. Sometimes, part of the charm is the diversity of people on it and having people your own age to just chat with, without having to get dressed and provide a snack. :D

It rained here today. It's going to rain Sunday and spoil my plans.

Thanks! That will make her happy to know I am discussing the weather with other seniors and as Bess said, not providing snacks. She will be 50 soon and was concerned that seniors were not discussing the weather anymore and just when she could do it legally, as a card carrying senior. She should have been a weather girl. She loves talking about how the cold fronts are moving over the area, etc. Shows me on her cell phone. We are supposed to get a rain tonight and we need it! She was also amazed that seniors have their own forums.

@Bess Barber, my weather would not be boring, because I live elsewhere.:)

Well, the rain did spoil my plans. We were going to Nags Head on the Outer Banks but the storm system from the Gulf of Mexico will be hitting down there Saturday night and Sunday. Sometimes Mother Nature lets us know who is boss. :)

If my Honey was on this Forum the weather would be one of his favorite topics too and he should have been a weather man because he can often predict the weather better than the ones on TV.

supposed to be nice here today and tomorrow. temps in the mid 50s. Rain Tuesday and Wednesday. Had a record setting rain on past Wednesday night into Thursday. When my generator started the flickering lights woke me. We had couple hundred thousand people without power. All power not back for everyone.

    I wish I had a generator backup.
Oh dear, I fear the dangerous medications that the liberal doctors will prescribe.

My wife has COPD so we decided that since she needs Oxygen 24/7 a generator was a necessity.
