Now, after ordering something online, I've been sent the item and it was different than the picture shown of it online. Not real different, but different than the picture was.

So, now this happened: Ordered some Wilson socks online thru their website on the 21st. Now, before, when I order the same socks, I got an instant e-mail about the order and received the order in less than a week. Out of curiosity about the order, I called the 800 Customer Service number on their website. It has been disconnected! Have sent them two e-mails, thru their website, with no response. Check the credit card, online, that we used and it has now been charged.

Guess all I can do now is wait and see if the socks get to me. Wilson Socks is/was a huge company.

    What do you think?

When I look through the search results for "Wilson's Socks,'' using Duck Duck Go, I see Wilson sport socks and brown socks,
but Wilson Socks, where I checked, when part of the web address, include Amazon or some other company first.

I didn't realize there were sites which sold specialty socks.
This is why I check to see if an independent sales site also offers their product on Amazon. Most actually do. Then, if it doesn't work out, Amazon will make it good.

Walmart sells Wilson socks, but not the "over-the-calf" style. And, I haven't found any store, like Target or K-Mart that does. So, that's why I went to Wilson Socks website on MSN.
    The "over-the-calf" type aren't specialty type...…….just long "over-the-calf" type.

This has happened to me just yesterday but fortunately I was given another website to go to with a different name.

Still haven't heard from the Wilson Socks website, thru e-mail. So, I called the credit card company and told them what happened and they were grateful that I had tried to get in touch with Wilson. They will credit the money that Wilson took out and try and contact them. They gave me a Case Number.

Unfortunately, now I have to find somewhere else to get the socks.

My wife sells on Amazon sometimes. She is reducing her sales through Amazon because of what they have done, more than once. She will put an item, such as a book, up for sale as a third-party seller on Amazon, giving it what she believes to be an accurate description, including a photo of the book cover. However, if Amazon carries another book of the same title, they will replace her photo and description with the other one. Consequently, a buyer might purchase a book based on the photo displayed on the Amazon site, which might be of another edition of the book. When my wife ships the order, they complain to Amazon that the book they received was not the same edition that they had ordered. Amazon refunds their payment and tells them they can keep the book, and my wife has effectively given the book away for nothing, because of an error that was not of her making.

For the first time, I ordered something off eBay.....seven soup plates for my long-discontinued set of dishes.

The price was right, they came exactly when they were supposed to, and none were broken. Win-win!

I had always had good luck with eBay until a few months ago when out of the blue, the suspended my account. I went several rounds with them to no avail. Apparently someone used my account with another user name and there was no way to convince eBay that my account should have been reinstated. The other user obviously defrauded them somehow and I even threatened them with an attorney, I was so angry. They told me to have my account deleted and re-apply after 90 days. I deleted the account, but I will not go back there. Obviously they do not keep your information safe.
