    1/2 gallon warm water
    2 Tbsp. liquid finish
    2 Tbsp liquid dish soap.

I didn't add the liquid finish & liquid dish soap until after filling the 1/2 gallon because I didn't want the soap to foam.

I just use cold water and actually make the dish soap suds up. Wipe on the glass, then take it off with a squeegee. I rarely use paper towels. If on the outside, you can also just spray it off with a hose and it rinses clean. Our synagogue has big glass double doors all down the sides, so I end up doing this every 2 -3 months.

I wonder if the liquid finish just coats the glass to help rain slide off better without leaving spots. I'll have to try it. Thanks.

@Bess Barber , that is valuable information. My back windows are so high that the only way I can clean them is to use a step ladder and climb to the next to top step. I'm getting too old to be climbing to the top of a step ladder and was wondering how on earth I could clean the windows now. I'm going to try this solution and spray it off with the water hose.

You don't have to clean them by hand. Use a mop. A sponge mop works perfectly. Clean the window with the sudsy dish soap (Dawn works best), then spray it off with a hose and your done. Takes about 5 mins a window. I seriously am a window cleaning freak. I KNOW for sure it works!! :D

From the news, Salisbury, MD, year-to-date, hottest year on record. Records go back to the 1870's.

@Micki Pembroke You will find it in the dishwashing detergent aisle. It's not expensive. Most dishwashers have a place where you pour it in so the glasses come out without spots. I bet it works the same for windows. I can't wait to use it.

That makes perfectly good sense when you think about it.

@Bess Barber Thanks Bess. Looking forward to trying it to, but will be a few months before that happens, wonderful winter.. Because i'm not a dishwasher fan, have one in this house as well, never use them, i wonder, would it leave a film on the window glass, do you think.
