I went for my after surgery check up with my Breast Surgeon this afternoon and the surgery site is healing really well. She also went over my Pathology report with me and as I knew there is still cancer in my body. I will probably see my Oncologist next week and go over my options. I'm trusting God to show me the next step to take and I know He will in His perfect timing.
Still cancer in your body, ?..where Babs?..in the same area, ?..have they told you how much? You know we're all here and praying for you..
@Babs Hunt Took time to read your previous posts on this enormous challenge you are facing. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. You are so loved by family, friends and your SoC family, in which i want to part of as well. Take in all the support you have been presented with, no fear, support will continue for you always, as well as all the love you have received and will always receive.
Hello everyone. Tomorrow I go back to my Breast Surgeon to check on my mastectomy healing. The area has healed well and I'm sure I'll be getting my prescriptions for my prosthesis and mastectomy bras. I hope I will have all that taken care of before Thanksgiving or else I'm going to have to stuff the right side of my regular bra so I can celebrate Thanksgiving with my family with two boobs instead of one. I am still doing well but ready to get out and about a little more. Just taking one day at a time and letting my faith sustain me. Been doing a lot of praying for one of my sisters as she had a complete knee replacement and then a few weeks later she got a bad staph infection in the knee that was replaced and was in the hospital for 12 days getting IV antibiotics which caused her to get Cdiff (which is a bad and contagious diarrhea) so they had to put her in quarantine and treat her for that and the staph infection. Yesterday she moved to a Rehab in Destin but she will still be on IV antibiotics for 42 days! She needs her other knee replace too...but after this I don't know if she will do it or not. Hope all of you are doing well.
Sorry to hear that your sister’s knee surgery turned into such a catastrophe, @Babs Hunt , and glad to hear that things are progressing well for you again. Maybe your sister’s immune system was pretty weak after the surgery. We will pray for you and her both for healing and for God’s blessings.
Glad to hear that you are healing well, Babs. And my goodness... your poor sister! What an ordeal for her. My best to you both.
@Babs Hunt Glad to hear of your progress, i know it's a long road, knowing what i know about you, your strength and others along with you, will give you the hope you need and deserve. Sorry to hear about your sister's rough road with her knee replacement, please don't let her cancel the possibility of having her other knee done. This , sadly does happen at times, infections of most kinds, always direct to the fake parts of the body first, in her case , directed to the knee replacement parts, was told this prior to both replacements, have known some that had this happen. Stay strong.
Hi Babs..it's been a week now since you returned to your surgeon to have everything checked, how did it go ? is everything ok?
