Teens this morning in CT, Now, mid 20's F. Big snowstorm headed our way to arrive late Friday night into Saturday, may get 6 to 12 inches. This will be our first real snowfall all winter!

Went out for groceries this morning; senior discount day. Didn't need much. Bought some lovely rosemary ham slices at the deli.

That's the same forecast I have for here, @Ruby Begonia ... must be setting itself up to hit the entire northeast! I keep hearing different amounts of snow but most of the agreement is "around a foot" so that's what I'll prepare for.

No matter how much it is, or when it starts, I sure hope it's cleared from the roads on Sunday since I'll have to be out... don't have to travel very far, just like 30 miles, but any distance is too far when it's icy.

Not morning at all, but pushing eleven in the evening. I rather missed out on morning, having overslept until gone nine o'clock. I think that's the latest I've slept in about thirty years.

Quite why, I have no idea. No drink or drugs involved whatsoever. The upshot is a short day, but one consolation was selling a copy of my novel - which is not officially published yet - to someone I thought wouldn't be interested. And somebody else wants one...at this rate, I'll be able to have a holiday in Aberdour.

(Aberdour: next village to me, about three miles away.)

Usual Pitch dark at coming up to 6am...but no rain or snow, so that's a bonus!! Hope you all have a fantabulous day whatever you're doing today!

Good morning to everyone not sure where I am with mornings and nights here at the moment  it's 91 f and noon here, we are in a taxi, thankfully air conditioned, going on a 3 hour drive to our next destination Dambulla in the northern forest area, home to elephants and leopards. Lisa wants to go on an elephant safari, so will organise that during the 6 days we are there.
    Enjoy your day

*Good* morning, new friends. I'm hoping for a zipadeedodah day. Know the reference? :D Well, I can't claim to be the happiest girl in the whole U.S.A. right now, but I'm trying, I'm trying!

Why? Remember a few days ago I said the insurance company *finally* assured me that all was well and it wasn't on my end? Well shock of shocks  they lied. And although I paid and sent the application in early November and all the "you're fine, you're fine" over the months... guess what? We haven't been covered! They don't have my application... don't have it! Lost it! They admitted it's their fault and apologized, but we haven't been covered! I guess I'd be wise to feel thankful medical care wasn't needed, but with their mess-up, coverage now won't start until March.

Besides that, I'm having a great day and am looking forward to checking on all of you to see what you're up to today.

Sushi for lunch and BBQ Garlic Bread Burger Loaf for supper. Coffee's cold now, snow still scheduled for Friday... what's up with everyone else?

Good morning, y'all. I was up early, and went out to see the stars. It was crisp and cool, and the stars were fabulous. The sun's up now, and the sky is interesting. There are bands of dark clouds layered with the bright sun and golden tones leftover from the sunrise. I'm going to see if I can catch a nap in a few minutes, the lack of sleep is catching up with me, but at least I got a few things accomplished. Hope everyone has a nice day :).

Good morning all! I'm sitting in the lobby of the volunteer department of the VA. I have almost an hour to go before orientation. To get across the city of Houston is a chore, but if you leave early as I did at 6:am you can still get a parking space closer to the hospital. At least there is valet parking which starts at 7:am. If you wait for traffic, your not leaving until 9:am.

I almost didn't get to come because I don't have a SS card. It's been years since I've need to show it, and I haven't a clue as to where it might be. My Medicare card isn't enough, so that means I have to set a day aside to do that.

Having a cellular iPad sure help in the VA, because they don't allow you to hook to their wifi.

Morning, Ina! I'm glad to hear that you are beginning your orientation, as a VA volunteer! Don't let the "hoops and hurdles" discourage you, as these details will be worked out. Cheers!

I haven had my card forever, Ina ...never had to show it anywhere, just give the number. Now you gave me something to worry about. :)

Good morning, nice day here and I'm kind of busy so that's good.
