I understand. My husband died on Christmas eve. The next year, I didn't do Christmas at all. But you know what, we aren't cats with nine lives. This is the one life we've got. There is absolutely no reason to live it feeling miserable because it just ruins the days you have left, plus makes the rest of the family feel guilty for being happy. Bad memories are only a few threads in the big tapestry of your life.
I am very sorry to hear that. It's an unhappy time for a lot of people. Christmas is often either a high or a low, it seems.
