Mornin. Woke up at 1:45am and said to myself, "self, why don't we just get up and see what others are doing at this hour". So, here I am, whatcha all doin? I was just on our local TV news site and took a cheap shot at Hillary. She's gonna be in our area next week. Emailed my cousin in Oregon. Next, I'll check out Facebook. Probably will take a nap around 4 or 5am. That's all I'm doin. We have 13 degrees at 2am under overcast skies and no wind. Its supposed to hit about 30+ degrees later. So, y'all have a great day.
Just got a cuppa coffee and been listening to some of the music you folks have posted and added a couple too. It's cold but dry. going to town this morning for drugs, groceries, to see the stock broker and wife has to renew drivers license.
Well now... a pink tutu... that's quite a visual there, Lara! I was never into ballet... or dance of any kind for that matter. I've always been more of a "book and music" person than athletic. But I'd sure freak the neighbors out walking around in that thing and ballet shoes!
Good morning my friend and cohorts. Boy was yesterday a butt buster. Sorry about the language, but it's the only thing that fits. I admit I don't have much of vocabulary in that quarter of language. Generally, even when I stumped my toe, all I cold come up with is darn, darn, darn. My kids always thought it was funny, and they would grab the house cuss box, just in case I came up with a word. I never put money in that box, but I would spend whatever was in it. The kids called it mom's cuss box. I am so glad all that rigmarole is over. I have always hated applying for anything. I guess it my old insecurities popping up that I'm not qualified. I just hope I have the stamina that such a position is going to need. Hopefully my strength will build as I go through the next six or seven months. I think I learned more about what I can't do than what I will be doing. As far as when I'll be working is up to me, but I have to complete six months and at least 100 hours to complete the training process. So all I have to do is go in and sign in on the computer, and tell them how many hours I want to work that day. I hope that by the end of my training I can put in at least three days a week.
Good morning, y'all. I've had unexpected visitors this morning. I've been wondering why I haven't seen any doves at my 'feeder' and along come two this morning. I'll see if any of the pics come out o.k. enough to post. Since the weather forecast has shifted, I decided to walk today, instead of tomorrow. The sun is shining brightly, but I can see the system working its way through here, and we might have a light freeze tomorrow. I'll just have to put some extra fuzzies out for the strays tonight. I don't have any amazing pics to share, but I did like this one, a spiderweb weighed down with morning dew. Stay warm, and have a great day!
A huge congrats to @Ina I. Wonder for the massive achievement thus far with the VA, and sooo quickly too, and what an amazing thing to do on behalf of @Yvonne Smith and @Bobby Cole that's is totally awesome... well done Ina you're definitely a ''wonder''..
Just past 6pm here chrissy...it's been my day off, so I've been catching up with all the stuff online that always gets put on the back burner ...photobucket albums being sorted into some semblance of order..that kinda thing!! Back to work tomorrow, forecast is for gale force winds and lashing rain..OOH joy!! Are you travelling tomorrow?
Getting to choose your hours is wonderful, Ina. That is why I had to quit my volunteering at St Agnes. They set up your schedule and it was set it stone. If you couldn't make it you had to find a sub which wasn't always easy. I would volunteer again if I found one that lets me choose when I want to work.
@Holly Saunders, yes, traveling tomorrow and they are calling for rain, sometimes heavy. It won't start in Fresno til evening but rain all day off and on as I drive towards the coast. I was thinking of leaving today but woke up to a dense fog advisory so decided on tomorrow.
