Bobby, you enjoy living where you are, whereas there are a lot of folks here that would never live/move to any southern state. They seem to handle winter weather here quite fine. Remember, for 4 1/2 years, I worked for a Senior Healthcare Company in Denver. I was truly surprised at how many Seniors live in Denver metro during winter months. Anyway, I thought I made it quite clear that we weren't moving to Cheyenne.
Yeah, I probably did. It’s one of those books that runs like a movie. If ya miss one small part then the whole thing is confusing. Maybe I shouldn’t have picked this particular book to read and stuck to the cliff notes.
Actually, we are seriously thinking of moving to where Holly lives (only kidding Holly, only kidding) LOL Perhaps we should move to where Bobby lives. That could be very interesting. Like Holly, Bobby, only kidding.
No problem here Cody. There’s a few ranches around complete with guys wearing cowboy hats and even a couple of rodeos albeit, south of here. Rivers and ponds galore and some good fishing from what I understand and a whole community of seniors who go to the senior citizen center every day. Alas, you wouldn’t like it though. Even a large portion of the senior citizens here wear tattoos.
I have a friend who lives in the UK and she complains incessantly about the roads not being cleared as we have in the U.S.
No matter where we go or where we move to there are going to be some positives and negatives. I have to look at things this way: If I had one hand on a block of ice and the other hand on a hot stove, on the average I’d feel okay.
Good Morning, everyone! When I got up this morning at 7AM, the outside temp was 12 degrees. Well, that's better than below zero. LOL Yesterday, I done a pork roast in the crockpot. Not the first time for me, however, this time, I added a can of Bud Light beer. I read online about adding beer to a pork roast. Did it help the cooking of it? Really couldn't tell the difference. For New Year's Day, my wife will be cooking her blackeye peas/with ham in crockpot. Some type of tradition about eating blackeye peas for luck in the new year. Anyone do this?
Yep; we also have black-eyed peas for luck on NYD; also cabbage (or some type of greens) to make sure we have money in the new year!! Also have cornbread, simply because it goes well with peas and greens.
