Hi Holly, Thanks. Never been to your part of the world but want to visit one day. Wishing you a warm sunny day tomorrow.
Well not much to tell, an average guy I guess, the site seemed interesting and thought I might be able to contribute and maybe make some new friends, that about the gist of it.
Thanks Ken, try to live by those sentiments. Nothing we can do about the past. Make today the best we can and plan for tomorrow.
Hello, and welcome to the forum, @Peyton Farquar ...... glad to have you with us ! Are you one of the traditional southerners (eating the black-eyed peas today), or a transplant to the south ? I am from Idaho, but moved here because my daughter retired here when she got out of the military, and for the most part, I really like living in the south, and don’t miss snow at all !
Hi Yvonne Thanks, I am a native South Carolinian so grew up eating the whole 9 on New Years, black eyed peas, collards, cornbread, sweet potatoes, fatback and of course sweet tea. I didn't have all of that today but a few of the items. Was going to make a sweet potato pie but didn't get around to it. Welcome to the South.
@Peyton Farquar You live just south of one of our sweetest and most fun members!! @Shirley Martin lives in North Carolina! Thanks for joining!!
