I spoil as well. A child can not get to much love from their families. It's what builds their foundation. In our futures we will need good people with well grounded foundations. So keep on keeping on Gra'ma.
I am the favored grandma with all 5 of my grandsons! They all get excited when I visit...even the 17 yr old is happy to see me.
That's great Ike. I always enjoy reading your stuff! Sometimes it's a little sad but you have a good writing style.
Chrissy I'm happy to read that your mother is so much better! Good too, you arrived safely. Have fun!

Good Morning all... Day off for me today and I should go into town to collect a parcel from the Post office, but I can't be bothered, I'm just going to stay indoors and do nothing today apart from the washing up, and cooking...absolutely nothing more!! Sun is shining a little bit after a damp start, and I never need any other excuse to go out than when the sun is shining..but not today.. no sirrrreeee....
Good morning, Everyone... I woke to an absolutely gorgeous world! Maybe I'll start thinking differently when the sun comes up and I can see the "real damage" but so far, before dawn, it's beautiful. Looks like around 14 to 18 inches for me. I consider that lucky because areas just slightly south of here are predicted to get two to three feet. I'll try to remember to get a picture later... I see there's a thread started for that. ***** Edited here... we just had an update... I'm right on the line between 12-18 and 18-24 inches now. Whooo Hoooo! Who's gonna come dig me out?! No plans for today except inside work. If the town's work plans are the same as usual, they may decide to plow the roads sometime tomorrow. Or not. I live in a river town, so we're expecting some serious flooding from this when it all melts, but I think everyone is pretty much used to that. I hope you're all safe and enjoying your Saturday!
Goood morning everyone. Didn't mean to put in the extra o but that's okay. I'll probably leave one out sometime. Home depot called yesterday and said my chainsaw has been repaired so I'll be going to the big city this morning to pick it up. No snow or ice here or I wouldn't make the trip. All you folks that have snow just snuggle up by the fire and stay safe.
Good morning everyone. You lucked out, Sheldon. Mari, you got a lot. Well, admittedly, we only got a couple of inches here but it's mostly ice and my driveway is on a hill. I salted but it doesn't look like it worked…yet. When the sun shines maybe it will quicken the melting process but I can't get out of my driveway yet. My car does well in snow but not on ice. I spent yesterday indoors with the fireplace going of course and cooked a lot. I conjoured up the most delicious recipe for dinner that was no carbs and no sugar…Stroganoff (2nd batch this time to share with Mother).Sauteed the beef, mushrooms, and onions. Added sour cream. Seasoned everything with salt, ground pepper, smoked paprika, garlic, and fine sea salt. Added a little water for the right consistency. Side of steamed Broccoli Rabe (only 2 carbs), I also baked a Whole Roasted Chicken. I'll share all of both meals and take to my mother's to stock her fridge for her. Update: Uh Oh, it's not over. It's snowing right now, not mixed, pure snowflakes. Apparently, a band from the storm circled around and we're getting a backlash from it. It's pretty.
Thanks Holly! She still has a very long way to go but it's encouraging that she has come this far. Enjoy your day off to the MAX, you deserve it. Just the driving you do would be enough for me, not to mention your long days at work.
Good morning everyone, cloudy, rainy day here. Boys are still sleeping. Older one will be in and out all day. Most of the day will just be feeding them and occasionally talking to the 12 year old. If he gets bored, well find something to do, we used to build lego sets but he's over that. To all who have the bad weather...stay safe and cozy inside if possible.
