Mornin. A late start for me. it's near 8:30 here now. I have an alibi though. Had a rough night. It's still rough, but as long as I remember to inhale, then exhale repeatedly, I'll be ok. Ain't had breakfast yet. Guess I'll remedy that soon. I could sure go for a big platter of biscuits and sausage gravy, coffee and a cinnamon roll now. But, I'll settle for some fried eggs and coffee. So, Y'all be careful out there. There's some bad weather goin on. If you can't be careful, have your insurance paid up.
Good Morning All! I'm at my desk at work, but the calls are very slow. Some light snow is flying around. I hope the plows keep the roads clear when my grandson gets out of work tonight. @Holly Saunders , stay-at-home cooking is my favorite pastime these days. Enjoy your well-deserved day off. @Chrissy Page , it sounds like a stay-in day for you too. Legos! I hate them, from the days of stepping on them (and on Hotwheel cars) with my bare feet. @Lara Moss , a cooking day for you too, yesterday. I never thought of Stroganoff without the noodles or buckwheat groats; great idea. @Mari North , will you be cooking or shoveling today?
@Ruby Begonia ...not here but at my son's in Illinois....you can't imagine the amount of lego pieces from 3 young boys in that house, lol.
@Ike Willis hope you're breathing gets a easier very quickly...sorry to hear you had a rough night, must be scary!!
Good morning to you, too, @Ruby Begonia ! I'll be doing neither... already got nearly a foot, so the shoveling will need to be handed off to someone else. Supper will be a BBQ'd hamburger to remind me of spring and summer, so not much cooking involved there either... lunch will be chili that I'd already made and had frozen. Basically what I'm doing is drinking Jingle Java coffee and watching all the blizzard reports from friends on Facebook!
Mostly, it just irritated me to have to keep getting up about every hour or so to pee, with my foot, back and shoulder killing me. Feelin better now though. Thanks.
Sorry to hear of your pain, Ike...wish it was wild women instead. I get the shoulder pain sometimes and it will last a week or so and it hurts more than anything and not even vicoden relieves it.
Good morning, y'all. Bright sunshine today. I love looking at the 7 day forecasts, so I can plan my outings. Monday and Thurs/Fri are looking good, but that could change. Your dinner sounds yummy, Lara. Congrats, Ina, that sounds like a positive step, and I'm sure the vets will appreciate having you around. Great to hear about your mom, Chrissy! Sounds as if everyone made it through the storms and I wish I had some good meds to share, Ike. The cold fronts always aggravate my issues, but as you said, breathe in, breathe out, focus on the positive, and it's a gorgeous day out there. I have a magnetic curtain rod on my balcony door with a short curtain on it, and I recently learned to swing one end down, so the curtain's not blocking the window. That way I can see the birds, sky and trees. I'll refrain from that in the Summer, since it would double my electric bill, but the sunshine feels wonderful . Have a great Saturday all!
Ouch! After the rigmarole I just went through with Highmark this week, this wounds me, @Ike Willis ! (Just kidding!) I *think* there's coverage now, but there hasn't been since they cashed my check in November and "forgot" to put the application in the system... took my money and then pretended I didn't exist! But that's not important... what *is* important is your bad night. I'm so sorry to hear that... will you have a chance to catch up with sleep anytime today? Hope so! Hmmm, rigmarole... now there's a word we don't hear any longer!
So, it's 12:30pm, and I just finished laundry. I popped a few pills and some energy came back, some pain left. Ahh, the power of pills. Anyway, the laundry chore is done, dinner is ate, and I'm free the rest of the day. I've been watching the movie "dearly departed". Not much sex but lots of violence. Very good film, IMO.
