Well, I'm just getting used to yardwork again. For the last ten years, a bunch of magical yard elves showed up every Monday morning and mowed, edged, raked and blew leaves. Now, we have a lawn service that mows and edges here at the new house, but *I'm* the yard elf when it comes to raking. And we have huge oak trees that exist solely to produce prodigious amounts of acorns and leaves.
So I decided to cut my own bangs. Bad idea. I have a distinct "Mamie Eisenhower" thing going on right now. In other news, I dusted off my Breadman Ultimate bread machine and cranked it up. I hope the yeast was still good or I'll end up with two "pits" today. Update: Bangs still look ridiculous but the bread turned out delicious!! Nice chewy crust and tender inside. Peak!
Basically, only pit: Wife still searching for a job. The Millennials have the jobs all tied up around here. Peak: Either tonight or tomorrow night, going to Golden Corral for dinner. Love that place! On Sunday morning, going to a new Cowboy Church in the area. And, got our new membership in the rodeo hall of fame in Colorado Springs.
Peak: This is my second anniversary on SoC! My, how time flies. I'll bust out the party hats later. No pit yet, but I'm sure there will be one later.
Peak..today my younger hubby turned 65. Pit he has spent his day talking me to ER and doctors office. Bottom line...all tests done today back fine. I did find out I do have blockage 50-70 percentin artery under collar bone. Cardio dr did not tell me that. Primary doctor said because normally they don't recommend doing anything at that point. Primary doctor said I am a mystery but wants to rule out thyroid issue...more blood work. Slight change with the Lasiks, get compression stockings and five heart vitamins he wants me to take. Return in ten days unless more issues. So this is all I know for now.
Remember when you were 4, and your mother was trimming your hair and yelling, "BE STILL!!!!" Yeah. That's the look.
@Beth Gallagher At least it will grow back. Until then, .......well........ I can send you some bobby pins if you want to put in some curly cue's like Mamie.
Yesterday was the Peak of my last month. Today is total Pitts. Swollen up again and was informed by family member they heard me stop breathing more than once last night....sleeping in recliner. Sooo doctor tells me I am a bit of medical mystery - all tests come back Ok ..no reason yet as for having this issue. I am trying to stay positive y'all but I am growing weary of the whole thing. However regardless of my outcome- my issue is nothing compared to a BF of mine - who survived lung cancer to now be fighting liver cancer. So guess I will have to buckle up and keep riding this out.
I'm so sorry, Gloria. Hugs to you. Did I understand correctly that all this started with a change in medicine?? Seems like that would be pretty easy to figure out. At any rate I hope you see improvement soon, and I'm sorry about your friend.
Peak-- I slept 11 hours last night; didn't even get up to pee. Pit--I slept 11 hours last night; half the day is gone.
