Good morning everyone, just got up and showered, its warm and sunny and breakfast is arriving on the balcony. We are going to the Royal Botanical Gardens this morning, then back here for lunch. Just back from a relaxing few hours in the botanical gardens which are a short bus ride from where we are staying, the bus fares at just a few cents with good regular service are a bargain. We had fish curry with several side dishes and a couple of beers for lunch, and are relaxing before we go out for the afternoon/evening to Kandy. I hope you are all enjoying your morning/night
Mornin. Colder today here in the little city on Iowa's east beach. Ain't s'posed to get out of the 20"s. That's ok. I'll be inside. Yesterday I called the clinic to ask about something to do with my meds. The nurse wanted me to come in and talk to a doctor who came in from another town, but would only be there for another hour. BS. I'll just wait until my appointment next month. I can remember when doctors came to your home. Speakin of doctors, did you ever fake pain? When I was in high school, we had to line up to get a shot for something, don't remember what, but it was required. I was first in line, and decided to put on a show. When the nurse withdrew the needle from my arm, I screamed, and walked off with a look of pain on my face, holding my arm. Some student from the lower grades passed out when it was his turn. Our principle walked up the line reassuring the others that I was only joking, it really didn't hurt. So much for the fun and games. Today is colder, cloudy and breezy. I'm stayin where I is. If you're goin to the doc, be nice. Else, they'll kill ya.
Nice day here weather wise, upper 60's but here for some reason that is warm. Yesterday when I got in my car at 3:00pm to pick up grandson from school the temp in car read 92! Had to put on AC full blast and by the time I got to the school it cooled to 75. Older grandson went to the community pool just below their house. I'm always happy to hear when you have a day off, Holly. I must feel your pain!
Good Morning, Y'all. Beautiful pics, @Lara, that hot chocolate looks delicious. I was about to go make another cup of tea (off the coffee for a bit due to ulcer acting up), but maybe I'll make hot chocolate, instead. It's wet and colder here today. Not cold by most standards, but cold for her. I just had a visit from the cardinal couple. It's so nice to see their colors among the drab leaves and branches of the trees. I bought the back up battery I've been needing for the camera, so I hopefully won't be missing any more good shots . Hope everyone stays warm and dry and has a good day!
Cardinals are my favorite Diane, especially against the snow and the way they are mates for life. They're so sweet and polite at the bird feeder too.
@Chrissy Page , Am I missing something? We were doing a thread about a Fantacy Dinner, I even posted again this morning. But now I can't find it, where did it go? And why is it not showing up like most of our post in alerts? Any ideas Chrissy?
