True, but I'll really bet that some Millennials, and possibly some Gen X folks, who can afford it, or those that can't (but will still go somehow), will love it. At least the "wild ones" will.
Well, this Baby Boomer would probably have a ball! Maybe I'd even get another tattoo. I'd definitely hit the drag show. My last cruise was on a Disney ship. A drag show would beat the heck out of a Little Mermaid Sing-Along any day.
What kind of engines does a ship have which is brand new and has been commissioned by no less a figure than Richard Branson? That's the crucial question.
It definitely does look like it is designed for younger people, and probably older ones trying to act like they are still young. I can see that it is pretty classy; but it doesn’t happen to be my style at all. I would love, love, love to be able to go on a short cruise, but I would want to go one one of the more traditional styled cruise ships. Here is a quick peek at what this new Virgin cruise ship looks like.
Well, it sure wouldn't be our "piece of cake", even though, years ago, I was a drummer and love Classic Rock. But, Classic Rock definitely wouldn't be the kind of music that would be playing on this ship. Drag queen shows, tattoo/piercing parlor and very extremely loud noise...…..absolutely NOT!! Hip-Hop and/or Rap playing loud during breakfast. Oh yes, my kind of nice breakfast......again NOT!!
It's a topic in the news lately because of people in quarantine due to the corona virus. Even without the virus, I have no interest to go on a cruise. It's way too many people in too close a proximity for me.
I have never been on a cruise, but if I could go, it is one of the things that I would absolutely LOVE to do ! My daughter went on one one of the Alaska cruise ships a few years ago, starting from Seattle, and then up the coast line of Canada to Alaska. They stopped several places along the way, and she got to go whitewater rafting and also zip lining; both of which she totally enjoyed. I would rather go someplace warmer, like into the Caribbean , and be able to see the shore as we traveled, and have it be warm enough to swim in the pool onboard the cruise ship. I am thinking that right now would be the very best time to get cheap cruise tickets, because they would not be getting very many people on the cruise lines right now. I was reading that even the airlines are suffering from a loss of passengers because of the virus fears.
My girlfriend in Florida and her husband go on 2 or 3 cruises every year. I can't imagine anyone over 65 going on one any time soon right now. There is talk about bailing out the cruise ship industry. ps. Never been on one myself
This might be a good time to find a bargain on a cruise ship and, if everything works out, you might even get a couple of extra weeks on the ship during the quarantine.
