No. I may be open to a lot of things, even including ghosts, I have always viewed mediums and seances as nonsense.

No, I haven't. Once when we were first married, my husband had his palm read at a carnival. The reader said he was going to have another child. Never happened, at least to my knowledge. :D:D

This was my profile post recently...

Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?

No, but my son recently did when an old school mate advised him to see one. He's been devastated since the loss of his wife, so of course she fed him a bunch of malarkey. Far be it from me to disenchant him, but I told him to tell his spiritual advisor about it. Kevin just shook his head in wonder and told Liam to relax and let time take care of his future. So, he went out and bought a boat. Much to Mom's delight. Summer, here I come.

While I do think that many of the ones professing to be psychic are just faking things to make money, I do believe that some people actually DO have some ability in this area, but not necessarily the ones who are selling their service.

Once, years ago, I was at a horse show with my ex-husband, and a lady there was doing “readings” for people’s horses and dogs that they had brought along.
We didn’t have any of our horses there, but my ex asked the lady to come to our house because he wanted her to give a reading for his horse.
I don’t remember what all she said, but one of the things was that Izzy didn’t want to have any colts because something was not right inside of her. Later, we moved and had to sell the horses, and the people who bought her had her bred.
When the foal was due, something was wrong with the birth, and even the vet could not save poor Izzy . I don’t know what the problem was, but when the people who bought her told me how sad they were about losing Izzy, I remembered what the lady said about Izzy not wanting to have any colts because something was wrong inside.
Lucky guess, or psychic communication ?

There's so much unanswered in the physical and spiritual worlds. I do not believe in hand reading, cards, things of that nature which they try to tell your future....There is only one " our God " that full fills that need. But possibly been able to connect with loved ones that have crossed over, can be settling in some ways.

No, I haven’t had the urge to see anyone who claimed to have the ability to fully explore the world of necromancy and for that matter, it’s a coin toss as to whether I believe there is any credibility tied to the practice.

Many seers, psychics et al often make their claims by looking back into into the historical view of it as it is written in 1 Samuel regarding King Saul and the woman or witch of Endor. As the story goes, since the prophets nor the throwing of lots could tell him how to triumph over the Philistines and he had driven out all of those who practiced sorcery and witchcraft, he secretly sought out the Endorean woman for her talents as a sorceress. I find that a little hypocritical but I digress.
Upon finding her he begged her to bring forth the spirit of the prophet Samuel which is where the story goes awry.

Depending on which translation one relies on, the woman either screamed or was angered when Saul asked for such a thing or she screamed when she was startled that Samuel actually appeared. Now the question comes to no real surprise as to why Samuel actually came forth and gave his prophesy of Saul’s death. Was it the workings of the woman or was it provided by God? If by God, then why hadn’t He spoken to Saul in his dreams or through His prophets? If by the sorcery of the witch, then why was she startled by the occurrence?
For all that matters, why bring forth Samuel at all when she already told Saul that he was going to die in the next battle, which also brings up the other question about her ability to tell the future.

It is as I first wrote, a coin toss for me. There are so many mysteries, so much to learn and I for one, rarely negate any possibility when I have no real proof to back up a yea or nay determination.

I'm not discussing the concern of the ability to communicate to our passing loved ones; I do not have that ability. Consciousness, self-awareness, caring, and such of deep(er) invisible and intangible spectrum are amongst things to consider that we are all living in one planet; that we are universally One. I respect everyone; everyone's thought, wisdom, belief ...and the list goes up. Peace within. :)

I think it must be very comforting to believe in a spiritual presence. From birth to grave you are either starved by being born in a country ruled by ruthless dictatorship or exploited by endless demands in an affluent society, where you are given enough to think you should be contented. It is when you are in life's departure lounge that you look back and say, 'What the hell was that all about?' Even the rich exploiters will be sitting opposite equally disillusioned. Isn't it better to cling on to a belief that some unseen power promises something better when the lights go out? Better still to gain a living boost through a sign while your'e here. Enjoy your spiritual manifestations, you have a 50/50 chance of being right, sceptics just die miserable.

My Ex stepmother had seances at her home often. I attended a few and supposedly communicated with my long dead grandfather. I felt there and then that it was all BS. My father eventually divorced my step mother because of her following financial advice from a Medium.

Remember Houdini? He went to any and all he could find, and exposed every one of them as total frauds.

They still ask for money too, go figure.....

My ex would light candles every Halloween for Harry. He requested it when he died so he could find his way back from "the other side." It was gonna be his greatest trick. I told her he very well may have succeeded, but followed someone else's candle. I mean, there had to be so many of them...and then electricity came along. ;)

Regarding mediums...I've toyed with the idea of going to a palm reader just for the experience, but never really felt like wasting my money that way.
