It's like I've already said a number of times, Ken, many have a different opinion than you do, but, believe this or not, I do understand yours.

At this present moment, there is nothing that I can readily think of that doesn’t take a reasonably sound mind in order to accomplish a task.
it isn’t a matter of a person doing what he or she wants to do, but do whatever you want within reason and with a reasonable amount of care.
With some things, I do a lot of research and do a lot of thinking before I attempt to perform a task and this uh....epidemic is no different.
I know the reported limitations and also know what to do and what not to do and becoming an agoraphobic vitamin D deficient shut in isn’t part of the bill because the research doesn’t call for it.

I sincerely hope that there is not a single person you are related to or that you know who contracts this virus and more than that I hope you don't contract it.

I also hope that you will never have to live with the guilt that you brought it home or to a friend and they suffered.

Take this seriously rather than dismissing it .. if not for yourself then do it for the sake of others around you.

I know someone whose son died from COVID-19. It is heartbreaking. If a few weeks of inconvenience can spare someone (Just one) else from that heartbreak, I think it would be well worth it to me.

I know several people who were killed in automobile accidents, but I don't insist that everyone should walk. Seriously, this might be a matter of mere inconvenience for many of us, who are getting Social Security payments or are working from home, or both, but it's a crisis for others, including those whose businesses are tanking, as well as those who are put out of work, unable to make mortgage payments, rent payments, car payments, and so on. People who have put everything they have into a business, rental properties, or other investments are being ruined.

I saw this on Facebook this morning, and I think that it does a good job of explaining all of the inconsistencies that are part of this pandemic lockdown.
Also, several people (like Gov.Cuomo) have said this was just a test run, and some have said that we can expect it to come back again this fall, when regular flu becomes more likely.
Since flu vaccines make people more susceptible to other lung viruses, it seems quite likely that even if they open things up with a limited contact version for right now, they intend to shut down even more of our rights by this fall, when people start getting sick again.

Maine has a protest in Augusta scheduled for Monday. I won't go because it's too far from here and because I wouldn't put it past those with the panic-agenda to deliberately infect people.

If the State or Federal Government mandates that you should stay in a shutout mode, then you should and MUST obey, because this isn't just a 2nd Amendment or a Civil rights issue...it's a Life or Death issue!

Those who protest what's good for their health and safety are nothing more than brats throwing tantrums!

In 1776, a bunch of brats sat down and devised a system in which the government cannot supersede the Constitution of the United States.
A government which MANDATES law without the approval of its citizens via the appropriate representatives has many names but one of them is NOT a Constitutional Republic.

The U.S. government can and does strongly recommend policy without any further approval but then the States can exercise their own powers under their own constitutions which cannot supersede the U.S. Constitution. As we have seen differences between S. Dakota and Michigan which have similar state constitutions, one single governor exercises tyranny whilst another allows the citizenry all rights whilst under strenuous recommendations.

The government is by no means my parent. I am smart enough and educated enough to know how to survive without endangering anyone else, myself, my wife or being endangered. Being told to “Obey” just gets on my nerves and serves as a distraction more than anything else.

I don't mind the word "obey". I learned that word very quickly while in the Navy! "Obey the orders" or face an Executive Officer's Mast, Captain's Mast or even a Court Martial.

And, the word "obey" is also connected with employment. Do what the supervisor, manager or owner says or...……..look for another job.

When I was and am employed to perform a service, I do it WITH the employer and not FOR the employer. I want money or something in trade and he or she wants a job done correctly so we come into an agreement and go from there.
I for one, have Never been in a civilian situation when I was told I had to obey Anyone.

Military service is an entirely different animal as you should know Cody. When you sign your name on the dotted line and raise your hand, you become property of the U.S. Government. You are given certain rights under a totally different set of regulations and all else is by the blessings of someone with a higher pay grade.

As a civilian, I do NOT obey someone as a child would: without question and without understanding. I will submit to certain LAWS because I can see the good in them and I’ll even submit to an authority if indeed that authority is worthy to be an authority with a reasonable amount of experience that I do not have.
I treat everyone as an equal with no one above me nor below me because any other way of doing things makes coming to an accord much harder.
When it is I who becomes the authority, I lead within and not in front nor behind and I LISTEN.
