I was searching for some Rice Krispie recipes when I stumbled upon this one. So simple and easy, the kind of recipes I love, of just 3 ingredients. 1/2 cup of honey heated. Add 1/2 cup of peanut butter then add 4 cups of Rice Krispies. Put wax paper in your to line your 9x9 pan then pour your mix. Let set, with one easy way of putting it in the freezer for 30 min. or let stand for several hours. Cut and ready to eat. What's your easy and simple recipe for peanut butter and Rice Krispies? image and recipe from http://www.sugaraunts.com/2015/05/honey-peanut-butter-rice-krispy-treats.html. . I couldn't find the recipe from yesterday that says to cool this delicious looking rice krispie dish in the freezer, sorry.
I don't have a recipe for rice krispies and peanut butter but I do have for 3 Ingredients Rice Krispie Chocolate cupcake 225g chocolate 125g rice crispies (or other cereal) 3 tbsp golden syrup Method Simply melt the chocolate in a saucepan over a low heat (or in a bowl in the microwave) Stir in the syrup, rice crispies (or add raisins, glace cherries, dried cranberries, chopped nuts if liked) Spoon the mixture into cake cases and leave to cool You can also pour the mixture into a traybake tin and slice when cool Serve with chopped bananas
They look really good @Holly Saunders, however, we don't have golden syrup over here. The only place I think you might be able to buy it a retailer called World Market, or some kind of ethnic store. I guess we would have to substitute maple or some kind of table syrup for it. One time an Australian friend posted a recipe and we had nearly nothing here that was in her recipe. You would have to scour the stores to find anything close. That looks excellent Kristina. Most of the rice krispy treat recipes I know take marshmellows and they make a mess, something always ends up stuck to the bottom of the pan.
@K E Gordon , I didn't realise you couldn't get Golden Syrup easily in the USA...although I'm reliably informed that it's available at Most USA supermarkets which have an International Aisle...and I'm led to understand a Supermarket called Publix, sells it as well, I . However, if it's still not available near you, then Golden Syrup is quick and easy to make at home... here's a how to Video..
Publix is mostly in Florida, and deep South locatios. Although I do know they are opening one in Richmond. In the ethnic aisles around where I live have primarily Hispanic and Asian foods. I have never seen golden syrup, but how to make it is interesting. I may try to make it sometime. It figures prominently in Austrailian and I guess English as well. I think it is an ingredient that would useful to have for sure. Thanks for posting that...The internet is grand,,in a lot of ways!
You're welcome . I have never heard of Publix supermarket, we have no such supermarket here...so I wouldn't know if it was ethnic or otherwise, but golden syrup has been a staple of British cooking since it was invented here in London in the late 1800's...just about 15 miles from where I live now...
I've also never been to a Publix but do know they are in Florida. Our ethnic aisles are Hispanic and Asian also. I see that World Market has it but don't know if it's online only. http://www.worldmarket.com/product/lyles-golden-syrup.do
We have Publix here in Alabama; but they are one of the more expensive groceries, although no where near as bad as Whole Foods. Publix has sales each week with BOGO , and those make it affordable; but they are far enough away that it is not worth driving that far just to pick up a few BOGO items. The golden syrup looks a lot like what they sell here as cane syrup, which is also kind of a golden color. It seems to me like there is another name for it, something like homestyle syrup, or similar to that; but we don't have any and I can't remember what it is called. We also have sorghum here, which is somewhere between a pancake syrup and molasses. It has a deep, rich flavor, and I really like it. We do not use syrup very often; so a quart lasts us all year.
I like an old time favorite 4-ingredent Peanut Butter fudge. It's been passed around the family so much and easy to make.
Made my first batch last night and it's sooooo good! I ran out of wax paper and just sprayed it with the non stick Crisco I go and it comes off easily. The rice krispie peanut butter & honey is not that sticking to it self as the marshmallow ones are, but just as good with the twist of a peanut butter flavor, mmm good! I like it for no sugar. It's so easy to make and I bought the Best Yet brand of Rice Krispies on an Senior Citizen discount day at Don Quiote a local grocer so better yet! The first batch is beng enjoyed now and I love it! Was easy to mix in the pot that I melted the peanut butter and honey mixture. Simple, easy and oh so good peanut butter and honey rice krispie treats going to be gone soon! Lol!!!
My simple recipe: 1. Melt the peanut butter (Do it slow and slow if you don’t want it be burnt or brown) 2. When Peanut completely melted, don’t turn off your heater but keep it in low temp and add some marshmallows into the dish 3. Stir the mixture continuously to make sure butter and marshmallow evenly melt ( around 3 mins is fine) 4. After the mixture completely combined and melted, turn off the heater 5. Put the Rice Krispies into above mixture and stir them until all combined well. 6. Wait for 40 mins for treating to set up. Enjoy!
