    @Hal Pollner @Faye Fox

The Baker Shot in the south Pacific, fired submerged 90 feet deep, raised a "chunk of water" above it weighing 2 million tons, high into the air. Imagine the ocean rushing back in to fill the "hole"?

Here's a picture of the "Baker" shot. The previous "Able" shot was dropped from above the Bikini lagoon.

The Baker shot used a device similar to the Nagasaki bomb, with a yield of 20,000 tons of TNT.

Ahhh! Boys will be boys! Here I am thinking about water displaced by 3 sticks of dynamite, trying to decide which would displace the most water, a series or a parallel configuration and the boys literally "rain on my parade" with their bomb equal to 20k tons of TNT, raising 2 million tons of water and DESTROYING the use of an island and its awesome beaches. I know boys must test their toys, but why not choose a place somewhere not so beautiful and full of life.

Check with the Chairman of the AEC, Faye...but don't lose your Clearance...

"Out along the trail you'll find me lopin'
Whar the spaces are wide open
In the land of the old AEC....(yee haw!)

    Whar the scenery's attractive
    And the air is Radioactive
Oh the Wild West is where I wanna be!

'Mid the sagebrush and the cactus
    I'll watch them fellers practice
Dropping bombs through the clean desert breeze.

    I'll have on my Sombrero
And of course I'll wear a pair o' Levis
    Over my lead BVD's!

I will leave the City's rush,
Leave the fancy and the plush,
Leave the snow and leave the slush,
    And the crowds.

I will seek the Desert's hush
    Whar the scenery is lush,
How I long to see those mush-
    rooming clouds!

Yes, I'll soon make my appearance
Just as soon as I get my Clearance
Oh the Wild West is where I want to be!

    OOPS...LEFT OUT A VERSE:

"Mid the yuccas and the thistles
    I'll watch those Guided Missiles
While the ol' FBI watches me!

Yes I'll soon make my appearance
Just as soon as I get my Clearance
'Cause the Wild West is where I want to be!"
