    @Peter Renfro
    This happened in Arizona due to extreme apathy for the poor undocumented Mexican population.........Civil Rights issue, jumped on by shady back-alley lawyers.

    Ridiculous, but yesterday, we seen a young person driving a car with the month and year tags upside down on the plate. I firmly believe they done that on purpose to be noticed.

    What's ridiculous is that you let things like that bother you. (And if they wanted "someone to notice," you fell right into that trap. :p)

    It only bothers us because it looks so darn stupid and they did it on purpose. The word "purpose" meaning, they want to be pulled over and ask the officer, "don't you have better things to do besides pull folks over that are displaying upside down plate tags?". Just what an officer wants to hear, as sassy statement from a young motorist.

    You certainly do waste a lot of time making assumptions about other people's lives and motives.

    Yes, we both do and mighty proud of it!! LOL

    Assumptions about what any age group does, is most often true assumptions. Just like motives that most people do have a motive for whatever they do.

    Again, license plate tags put on upside down looks plainly stupid and when people do it, they do it for a reason. Wonder what a law enforcement officer's superior would say if the officer's name plate was upside down on their uniform.

    @Beth Gallagher

    Wonder what I might have to say (or do) to elicit such warm responses from you.........

    Yesterday, we seen a vehicle pulled over that did not have a license plate on the back. Law enforcement isn't paying to much attention to expired tags right now, unless, like our neighbor found out, the tags are a year or older. But, not displaying a license plate is, most likely, a pull-over from red/blue lights.

    Old expire year tags, still happening. Just seen an old Ford SUV, sitting in front of our building, no front bumper and year tag was 2020. A guy, probably in his late 30's/early 40's, comes out of an apartment, jumps in and drives off. Not one bit afraid of being pulled over for no front bumper and expired year tag.

    It bothers us, but also, doesn't bother us. It's just that, pretty much the young people run this city, not local P.D.. Or, has already been stopped, issued "fix it" ticket, but simply don't care. The young folks here most definitely wouldn't want to have a vehicle this way in So. California where law enforcement is very, very strict about this.

    Recently I had just gotten into my car and closed the door after buying misapply of iced coffee for that day,,, Agut begins tapping on the window.....When I roll it down he says that I'm not supposed t be driving my car...When I ask why he says "you don't have a current tag on your plate"......... So I tell him that I've got a current registration in the glove box and he storms off......I know I probably wasn't too careful with putting the year sticker on but I'm not going to go to the DNV and get one.
