I have two coming up this month and am thinking of cancelling both unless they tell me that they will be postponed.
I have a VA appt. coming up the first of July. This is my regular twice-a-year one. I'm going to check with them to see if I need to come in or what. Don't really want to have the in-person thing, but.
I postponed my appointment with my optometrist today to August. If this virus turns out to be seasonal like the flu, August is the height of summer and the virus should not be a problem. The eye is one avenue for the virus to infect a person, and the optometrist has to examine the eye much too close for comfort, and a patient has to have their forehead up against the equipment where others have been.
My friend Charlie in Chicago has had to forego several Dr. appointments: their offices are closed. Frank
I received a letter from my doctor's office saying that he is retiring. The next week a message was left on my phone from Angie (Medical Assistant) calling to cancel June's appointment. I wonder what Angie is going to do now this is the third doctor that has retired on her.
I always have 2 physical checkups per year...(lab work only) The Virus caused me to miss one checkup because my clinic was closed. I sure miss my physician, Geetha Reddy MD, a really fine lady doctor from India. Hal
Ugh, I HATE having to find a new doctor. I had one just pack up and leave town, taking his practice to a different location. He never even notified his existing patients that he was leaving.
@Beth Gallagher, that wasn't professional at all. That leaves all kinds of suspicious thoughts out there to me.
My wife has a vision exam tomorrow (Friday 19th). They requested that she wear a mask, of which she will. Her regular vision exam was suppose to be this past April and she will need new glasses.
I got a call from local VA Clinic earlier this week about my appointment next month (July). My doctor will only be doing a phone appointment with me. THANK GOD for that, because it's mostly older Senior Vets (older than me) that go there. Actually, I have no idea how a doctor can do an exam over the phone, but will see what happens.
Last appointment in March was cancelled. They tried to reschedule in May but software wouldn't work on my computer. Kidney dr called the other day and set appointment for August. Had cardiologist appointment in March got cancelled. Since they've run a pacemaker check and it looked good I suspectct nothing til next year.
