    I'm definitely going to discuss with my oncologist, Shirley. This is a recent development and I'm not sure if the chemotherapy has caused this or what. I can't take any "supplements" without getting approval from the oncologist. I remember the mustard thing but haven't tried it; I did buy some tonic water (that has quinine) and it didn't help.

    Do not take potassium unless your doctor prescribes it. Eat bananas, potatoes, oranges and dark greens and beef. All high in potassium. Drink a lot of fluids.. Above all, let your doctor know about this severe cramping, Beth. I had no idea it was this bad. Sorry I am checking in so late, but I've had some things to do until now. Also we are having bad weather which will continue through tomorrow, so I haven't a notion as to when I can get my tests done at this point. But, we do clear up quicker than you guys as we are accustomed to this in February and March, I might add.

    Keep me posted here and elsewhere. I'll pm you.

    @Jeff Elohim

    Death is, of course, un-natural then?

    Since the hospitals/ medicaos / protocols/ methods are responsible for over 1/3 of the deaths,

    avoiding the causes of death makes those deaths arbitrary (or planned!?) and perhaps usually un-necessary.

    i.e. death by nosocomial (hospital acquired) infections, incorrect procedures, incorrect (but 'legal') chemo,
    is un-natural.

    Beth, I mean the following seriously, based on medical evidence and personal experience: Marijuana, when smoked, instantly relieves cramping. Don't discard this advice, just take it. I don't want you suffering and the cramping is just the beginning of nasty chemo symptoms.

    My advice will help you and I have a great desire to help you through this. Your comfort, your stress levels, are of utmost importance.

    I'll check in again soon.

    Hey Lulu. Thanks, I appreciate the advice. The stress and anxiety have definitely been through the roof around here. Does weed have any effect on heart rate? I'm not a "joker, a smoker, or a midnight toker"... but if things get bad enough I might be. :D

    I tried @Shirley Martin's recommendation of a teaspoon of mustard last night and NO cramps. (Thanks, Shirley!)

    I think marijuana should be legalized for cancer patients. And other medical conditions if it will be helpful.

    I have also heard that vinegar could help prevent cramps. That might be why @Babs Hunt mentioned pickle juice.

    Cannabis is usually legal in most states today for medical usage and many states are just plain legalizing it altogether, so it should be available in Texas. We had no trouble getting in California back in the 50s when it was supposedly a no-no.

    If you do try get a Indica,(in the couch) strain. Sativa probably would increase your heart rate.

    I just looked it up. Apparently there are different strains of marijuana with their attendant side effects.
