Worked on my firewood area some more today (I've spent a week of working on it) so I didn't feel like cooking. Went to IHOP for some chicken strips & sides. I'm used to eating at 10PM. Their COVID Closing is 7PM. I ate at 5PM. Darned early dinner for me. How am I going to dream if I've already digested???
We seem to be in a rut on "chemo day." We stop at the local BBQ joint and bring home plates. Brisket, sausage, potato salad, baked beans. Really good, but I think we'll skip it next week.
Outback today; hub's choice. I'm having a short rib with peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. He chose a bone-in NY Strip, baked potato and house salad.
-Salad -Grilled marinated pork loin strips -Baked beans -Corn bread -Fudgesicle Since I'm firing up the grill, I'm gonna grill a pak of hot dogs to put in the freezer for future meals.
Yesterday was my husband's birthday, and our daughter had planned to order dinner delivered for us but we had already ordered from Outback. So today she called our favorite Mexican restaurant and ordered chicken/beef fajitas with all the trimmings, margaritas, and tres leches cake for dessert. I can't have the margarita so I suppose the hubby will have to "force down" two of 'em.
-Salad -Leftover BBQ pork loin -Baked potato (no sour cream because "someone" forgot to put it in the fridge from the grocery store) -Fudgesicle
