Glad to hear the leg / boot helped your wife Annemarie Steve so I can live I hope mine will heal well as long as I do the right thing ..do as the dr said ....he was good and I respect what advice he gave me regarding the boot he was highly in favour of the boot rather than plaster ..he liked the fact of the support and the fact one could take it off to shower and most of all take the boot apart and wash it to keep,it hygienic unlike plaster .

I just took it off 5 minutes ago cause my leg was itching like mad ..I found my leg skin is extremely dry / flaking so I’ve put it back on till I go get moisturiser out of my bedroom about 15 meters up,the passage ..to far to walk without boot on
@Steve North Thanks for all your input on your own experiences with similar injuries / healing

Steve, I twisted my knee. I got a shot in it and it's OK for now. I have to be careful using it so that I don't twist it again.

We live in an "A" Frame house in the rural country in a village..
We will keep on living here till they carry me out feet first.. We will never go into an old age home..
I can't see ourselves living in a one bedroom apartment after living where we do...
Going from a country house with acreage to a cube in the sky,..... not for me...

That’s why we normally try to keep fit by dancing and walking but it’s a bit hard at the moment but I’m sure with my strong determination it will happen again ........

(back to dancing and walking )

Where we live Steve used to nothing more than a new development on farming land amongst beach shacks that you will find in many small coastal areas in South Aust ....However we built in a stage one of the development of the once farming land ..now it up to stage 6 ,as well as the Greg Norman golf course in the other side of the main road that’s also a housing estate that’s almost full of homes.

Then the land between us and the town area golf course was vacant land ....now it’s a rapidly growing gated retirement village ......so we live 3 km out of the actual town where we shop , ( we normally go further to the main hub that’s called ( Kadina ) about 18 km from home )
    https://yorkepeninsula.com.au/kadina

When we had our home built there were 6 homes between the town and us ....that was 2006 now there are
100’s homes about 25% would be 2 story.

We purchased the block of land in 2004 it’s about 800 square mtrs so it’s tiny compared to the a acreage you have @Steve North however we had to wait for it to be developed cause it was still a wheat paddock when we bought it , so we bought off the drawn plan

During COVID many fled the cities during lockdown and bought up homes that had been siting on the market for a length of time so that has also contributed to the rapid growth in our area ..which is about 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the city of Adelaide
