    Alpha Dogs
    2006 (True life bio, Crime)

Gritty and obviously realistic. Grade B.

Johnny and a couple pals kidnap Jake's 15-year-old brother, Zach, then assigns his buddy Frankie to be Zach's minder. They develop a brotherly friendship. Zach parties with his captors as things begin to spin out of control.

Not a movie, but the Netflix series The Crown. The death of Prince Phillip made me want to watch the series again.

    Sling Blade; 1996
    Billy Bob Thornton

I've seen this movie several times and still enjoy it. Thornton wrote, directed, and starred in this movie.

I'm all about action when it comes to movies. I watched 'Stealth.' (2005) Jessica Biel (wife of Justin Timberlake), Josh Lucas, and Jamie Foxx (African American comedian, actor). Jessica and Josh are new actors to me so I had to google them. I've never seen any of the movies Josh Lucas and Jessica Biel were in.

Anyhoo, I loved it. Good script, excellent protrayal of characters, and of course lots of action.

This is my son's movie but it's worthy to go into my library so I'll be looking for my own.

I watched Rebel in the Rye, a partial biography of JD Salinger on the lead up and aftermath of writing Catcher in the Rye. I thought it was illuminating. Streaming on Hulu.

I watched Hachi starring Richard Gere and Joan Allen. Based on a true story of a lost dog (Hachi), who is found by Richard Gere, the story develops from there.
There is a statue of Hachi in Japan where the story originated for his faithfulness to his owner.

    Heartwarming tearful story.
If you like stories about animals especially dogs you'll enjoy this.

Derivatives are still out there even after a 16 year old movie's telling important information.
Rising taxes and inflation will take everything from us otherwise.
    And people laugh at preppers.
Unfortunately I think it is the NDAA which makes it legal for the government to take anything it deems to need, from anybody, in a state of emergency as the government sees it.
    Truth stranger than 'fiction'.
