No, Yvonne...I meant 1962. If that picture had been taken in 1952, I would be 95 today! The Korean War began on June 25,1950 and ended in a cease-fire on July 27,1953. After the cease-fire, the US sent Occupation Forces to South Korea as as a warning to the North Korean and the Chinese Communists to keep on their side of the 38th Parallel, which they have been doing since the cease-fire. The Korean War was the only war the Americans have engaged in up until that time that did not end with a surrender of the Enemy to the American forces; instead it has remained in a perpetual state of "Cease-Fire" since 1953, when I was still in High School.
