We are (in Massey) about 30 minutes to a large town (Espanola) where we do all our food shopping.. We are about one hour away from Sudbury which is a very large city, about 1/4 million people.. Other than the pandemic (which we don't go), we go to Sudbury at least once a month.. Not lately.. Espanola has the hospital with our family doctor.. We are in Espanola at least once a week if not more.. As you can see, we have almost everything within a little drive from our house.. Why even consider selling and moving into a small apartment when we have all this space and land.. Besides living here is way cheaper than paying rent somewhere.. As long as we can live here, we will..
No! She meant jab. The Aussies and Englishters talk funny. They say jab when they are talking about shots. They ain't like us'ns and talk real proper.
Ya correct @Shirley Martin you’d think our dearest @Louise Miller would understand her Aussie game playing mate / friend by now wouldn't ya. Yep,had our first COVID JAB this morning ...had to almost sign our life away to get it ..cause of stuff about blood clots that’s effected 2 people in Australia ,I was confident enough to get mine I don’t have any underlying illness so hopefully that’s in my favour ...same for Ron. We had AstraZeneca it’s kinda take it or leave it ...cause the government can’t guarantee if or when we will get the other brand ..this year ..maybe next year ...... no one knows
Kate.. glad you at least had your turn to be jabbed.. whatever the dose, they are all effective.. now, I hope you and Ron don't get any side effects...
I’m better not as much pain @Shirley Martin hate this bulky moon boot but then again what’s worse .....I think the plaster is worse No reaction to jab for me ..so far so good ...Ron’s has a funny taste in his mouth since @Steve North I guess will resolve he has a dr appointment this morning so he will report that to the doctor
Good news fellow Aussie. I'll have to wait a while for mine. I do tire of the socialists and the ill informed constantly verbal bashing Sco Mo because of the delays in vaccinations. Hello, Australia did not develop the vaccine that MAY have killed some 30 people overseas.. all believed to be under 50..causing a rethink by our Govt. over who actually needs to safely have a jab and who does not. Kate we have purchased several million more doses of Pfizer and Novavax. Trouble is the Europeans are playing hard ball over delivery of Pfizer. I am hearing that Novavax will be available for use once its efficacy is approved in the UK. Why has this taken so long when other vaccines were put in patients arms months ago.
There was a very quick comment / snippet on the 6 ok news last night that the other vacs may have? or will cause the same issues as reported with the AstraZeneca ....you know what the news is like @Craig Wilson skip quickly over any news that they DON’T want to believe ..... we will wait see won’t we After all,how different can the vacations for the same illness be vastly different ?? Bit like buying a generic or branded prescribed drug I’d suspect who knows ?? Just my curious mind working overtime
also it is like buying a different make of petrol for your car... gas is gas regardless what make it is.. it all ends being used.. Same with the vaccines.. They all work, so what is the difference which one you get..
Hello Kate, it was one of the vaccines. caused blood clots in 6 woman the day after their shots.. the madera shot is ok to take tho.. That is one reason why me and hubs are not taking the shot.. i got my flu shot in January of this year, first time ever taken a flu shot too,,,,,, so far i have not had any signs of covid.. !! the count here last week was one one mild case.. in our town..and before that was zero..
