Yeh, I didn't want to wade through the weeds, but you can look at the sender's email address to see if it's from the legit business, and you can hover over the links to see where they direct. But lots of folks don't even know what we're talking about. I've had 2 elderly friends fall victim to scams recently (one lost $13,000 and the other lost her car.) Makes me angry.
Yvonne, This has nothing to do with Amazon but when I visited Huntsville Space n Rocket Center I had to fight a strong temptation to jump on the ship they have hanging from the ceiling of the center.
This is the kind of crap I get from Amazon all the time. When I go into my orders, it will say that the product is arriving tomorrow. However, when I click on the trace button, I can see that it hasn't even shipped yet. Given that it's nearly 5:00 pm now, there's no way that it's going to arrive tomorrow. When I look again later tonight or tomorrow morning, they will have changed the date, usually to a range of dates. Nothing ever arrives here on the same day that it is shipped.
I've likely said this before (I just don't feel like researching), but I have never experienced anything like that. That [obviously] makes zero sense.
I used to get great service from Amazon, including the 2-day delivery they promised with a Prime membership. When that quit, they used COVID-19 as an excuse, and they have never returned to reasonable service. Most commonly, anything I order won't even be shipped for four or five days or longer. Once shipped, there usually isn't much of a problem with it getting here, although I don't live in an area where we can get same-day delivery. The problem is entirely within Amazon's control because the stuff can't be delivered until they ship it. I don't hold third-party orders against them, although the third-party orders are generally shipped more quickly.
Don't know whether it's just me but now when I get email about shipment it only links to my orders and not specific item.
I am ordering a Kindle Fire, and not even at their sale price, and they can't even ship it in a reasonable amount of time.
Well, Micro Center said they would deliver in 15 days the TV screen I bought last Friday; it took one call to their customer service site and threatening to cancel the sale. Gee, it was delivered yesterday.
Wow, my order is due today and always get it as stated by email. Only once has order been delivered to wrong address and that was several months ago. A little odd is that I order hearing aid batteries, thru Amazon. Two different sizes ,both made in Germany, yet always shipped separate times. Let's face it, ain't nothing like it use to be anymore - including us ..
I see that Prime Day has been announced... June 21-22. https://www.retailmenot.com/blog/am...V3AYQQTPM&ESP=2&ei=FVVBH5HIV5F47GBKP7NYJBDMSU
@Ken Anderson Out of curiosity, I looked at my last 3 months of purchases that were shipped from Amazon. This data is from the Invoices on their website: I took a quick scan at my other 3 orders for 2021 without opening Invoices to see shipping dates. One order was split into 2 shipments. Everything was received in 7 days or less from the Order Date. I have no idea why such a huge discrepancy in performance for your region. (I guess you don't either, huh?) I do not have Prime.
That sucks, for me, and I don't get it. I have Prime and I order a lot from Amazon (91 orders in the past three months), yet it is rare for anything to be shipped in less than four days, and it typically takes a week just to ship it.
