Every day since Bing wished me a happy birthday on the 16th, which was my birthday, it has wished me a happy birthday. Ten days later, and Bing still thinks it's my birthday. There is a box that I can click if it isn't my birthday. It brings me to my Microsoft account where I am asked to verify my information, including my birthdate of August 16, 1951. Still, the next day, it thinks it's my birthday. I am thinking they don't have that birthday thing down pat yet.

I have been using Bing rewards for years. While you will never make much, it is a pretty easy way to earn a little.

I also use Lifepoints to get a few surveys. I make about five dollars a week.

Bing search returns better results than Google, and I have done well with Bing Rewards. However, a month or so ago, my wife complained that she had redeemed her Bing Rewards only to receive an invalid gift certificate for Amazon. She had no luck in trying to contact Microsoft about it. Well, a couple of days ago, I redeemed my points for a $65 Amazon gift certificate, which was also invalid. So, my points are gone from my Bing account, and nothing has been added to my Amazon account. In response to my feedback about this, I received a canned email saying they were looking into it and, a few hours later, another email saying they were closing out my ticket. So, it appears that, while you can indeed earn points through Bing, the gift certificates they provide you are worthless. I still use Bing sometimes because it returns useful results, but I am testing out Brave Search, which also seems to have good results. I'm not sure which I like better, but I'd rather not use Bing anymore.

Well that's a rip-off, but I'm glad to hear Bing, and possibly this "Brave" search engine will give me better results. Googles seems to be doing the old "partisan" thing, gerrrr
