Lon, if you don't like getting these, there should be a way you can stop getting them. Then again, getting them may not bother you that much, especially any that you could understand. That is, if you have a Bible in your room.
It doesn't bother me one bit. I Google it and don't need a Bible and then forward it on to you Christians for any benefit it may have.
Unless what you are getting is different from this thread, this is the thread you done earlier and your opening post about it: Why Am I Being Sent A Daily Prayer? Gospel, Luke 5:1-11 Was Today I don't know who or why this was sent to me--I don't have a bible and did not look it up.
I will wait till our resident urban cowboy confers with his wife. He has posted before that he and his wife always interpret the scripture the right way. My understanding may possibly be in error so I will withhold it for now.
Now you know where the expression "Blind leading the blind" originated. Jesus said he spoke in parables so as to test whether people really grasped the meaning of the kingdom. It's interesting that his disciples not only had to ask why he spoke in parables, but they also had to get him to explain some of them. Perhaps their confusion is mentioned in the Bible so we don't feel so bad if we don't get it the first time around...after all, Jesus' hand-selected disciples were far from perfect, too. They did not always "get it." Here's a brief 2:30 discussion on Jesus' use of parables:
I think I will start speaking in parables since everyone wonders what the hell I am talking about anyway.
If Lon were to answer me, which he won’t, I would ask him, “before we discuss the topic, what do those verses mean to you”? Just a hint before one actually reads the verses indicated. One should first know who Haggai is and why his ministry was so important. Then perhaps the verses will make more of an impact.
