Hi, I’m new here and was wondering if anyone else is living with a disability. I’ve been legally blind and a quadruple amputee as a result of a strep infection and sepsis 47 years ago. I have prosthetic arms and use an electric wheelchair.

All my disabilities so far have been temporary. I used a wheelchair for a while after a fall, then moved to a walkers, etc. Lots of injuries over the years due to the lifestyle I lead. Strep sepsis can be a terrible thing, and I had it a a teen. They predicted I would at least suffer from rheumatic heart disease at the time, but that, thankfully, has never developed.

LOL….I had to use the @ in order to keep spell check from writing Bobbie. It’ll just have to get used to you being around. :)

@Bibbi Wright - so glad you have joined us . Welcome from the state of Texas. Until about a year or so ago,I would not have described myself with a disability. But various forms of arthritis and an auto immune disease has left me using a cane most of the time.
My hearing loss in both ears is not age related. Regardless of what health issues I have, I am the healthiest 73 year old I know ! Consider myself blessed and lucky !

I just saw this thread and have been reminded 'again' how amazing some people are who deal with dissabilities and keep a positive attitude while doing so.
