Good morning everyone! Cold, véry light snow showers here at 26F. Another workaday. Still no reply from my message to Ike and I too hope he's OK. Maybe he went hunting with his son after all? @Holly Saunders, I'm looking forward to the pics of your market town if you do go! Let's all find something to make us laugh today!
Good morning everyone! 60's and a chance for rain later in the day. My kind of day. Finally got a better night's sleep, so a good start to my day. I haven't done much in the last couple of days and I have a lot of catching up to do. Hope we hear from IKE today, Some good news on my part, even though minuscule. I got to talk to my mom yesterday for the first time since the beginning of January. She was having a good day and my sister put the phone by her ear and I could say Hello and "I love you". Of course she still has the vent and couldn't reply but it was still very comforting.
@Chrissy Page , I know how important those words were for you and your mother. I know it gave her some peace and you as well. We all think about the times we should have made just one more effort to say, "I love you.", just one more time. When she gets better she will feel that much more cherished. (((Hugs))) Now go and try to have a little fun. If your doing out and about chores, watch the funny people around you. There's always a giggled out there somewhere.
Thanks Ina! It's getting hard to leave this friendly forum but I have too many things to do. Still early so not going out yet but can start around the house....no fun.
Good Morning, Y'all, Happy Friday! Sun is shining today, and I'm feeling a little better. It's nice that you were able to say a few words to your mom, @Chrissy Page, I know that must have been comforting for both of you. Saying a prayer for @Ike Willis. Hopefully he's off hunting and carousing with his son, and will be back with some stories to tell us soon. Have a great day, everyone, hope it's a pretty one where y'all are.
As I guess as a lot of you are in your morning here is an old favourite of mine To The Morning (Lyrics) Watching the sun...watching it come Watching it come up over the rooftops Cloudy and warm...maybe a storm You can never quite tell from the morning (Chorus) And it's going to be a day There is really no way to say no to the morning Yes it's going to be a day There is really nothing left to say but come on morning Waiting for mail Maybe a tale from an old friend or even a lover Sometimes there's none But we have fun thinking of all who might have written (Chorus) And maybe there are seasons And maybe they change And maybe to love is not so strange The sounds of the day Now they hurry away Now they are gone until tomorrow When day will break and you will wake And you will rake your hands across your eyes and realize That it's going to be a day There is really no way to say no to the morning Yes it's going to be a day There is really nothing left to say but come on morning And maybe there are seasons and maybe they change And maybe to love is not so strange
@Chrissy Page ..how fantastic that your mum got to hear your voice..I'm over the moon for you both..I know you couldn't hear hers'..but to hear yours must have been wonderful for her..
Today was a gloriously sunny day..albeit a little chilly, but absolutely no wind..whoop whoop... !! So when I went out to my medical appointments I took a few photos of the surrounding area next to the surgery ..and also a little bit of the river which runs past the surgery where the ducks and Geese are....and posted them on the 'geese' thread' It's late now so I'm too weary to start reducing them in PB to post on the forum for the photo thread..but here's a couple from today..I'll post the others maybe tomorrow night or my next day off... But just a few to show you from today...
