Good Sunday morning to all....Mothers and Others! Older GS finally coming today for closets cleaning help but I'll have him paint the upstairs bath instead. Roommate younger GS at work. Thinking about treating them both to supper out tonight, nothing fancy but they love good bacon cheeseburgers and French onion soup. Cold here. @Chrissy Page, happy to see you're getting rain!

I got some cooking done, made home-made soup which was delicious and I still have loads left for another day... played on the computer...and it's just been a nice chill out day...Got a very busy week ahead of me this week, so I'm glad to have had the day to relax..

Good morning to you all, it's 8:00 am or was when I got up, it's damp grey and 4c, it's also a Bank Holiday here today, called "New Year Holiday Substitution" Tomorrow is "International Women's Day" which is another holiday and a big one for women here. Not sure what the plans are for our day yet. Have a good Monday whatever you are doing.

Good morning to all the people who are a few hours younger than me We have a long weekend this weekend for all things to enable people to go to a horse race .. Only a holiday in South Aust for the Adeliade Cup, and you know what if something is going to break down or need urgent attention in our home it always happens on a long weekend Kate
Yes Holly the government here are pretty shambolic at times, there were traditionally 8 days of Bank holidays from January 1st which means obviously some will fall over weekend so in effect 10 days. Because of the length of the New Years holiday and the amount of drunkenness it created, they shortened it by 2 days, these 2 days are added to other days to give a long weekend such as this one running into Women's day ..................confused .....I was
Sadly @Joe Riley seems there is no news of Ike, my only hope is that he is in hospital recovering from something, otherwise I feel he would have posted by now. I didn't like the sound of the pill incident the day before he was last on here. I just hope we get some news soon.
Good morning, all you wonderful people! Thus starts my week of vacation preparation, so I'll be scarce this week and off the grid for the following week and a half starting this weekend. Don't send out the troops until the 24th if I'm not back. First thing I intended to do was check on @Ike Willis but then I saw that @Terry Page said there's no word and that makes me sad. Extremely so. I always look for Ike's good morning message when I arrive. When he gets back, he can expect an infamous "Mari-Lecture" for scaring me like this... you hear me, Mr. Willis?! That's the bad part of not knowing our true identities in some cases, isn't it? We can't check up on each other. Maybe we should do that elementary-school thing and have a buddy system ... at least one person here who knows how to find out what's going on. Maybe just something like Facebook where I know some of you are connected. Oh well, thinking aloud. Not looking forward to this week... soooo much to do and deal with before leaving.
