Pit- I dropped my wife off for her first chemo treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital. She supposed to receive a mild dose today I think it's because of her many allergies, she scared, and very nervous, I hope they can calm her, I tried but it didn't work.
Peak- When I pick my wife up and know she's OK, that will settle my nerves.

She will be fine, Tony. The nurses will know how to help calm her, and they will watch her closely for the first infusion to make sure she doesn't have any adverse reaction. Once she has the first one done she should know what to expect and it's not nearly as terrifying. I hope she can get through chemo with minimal side effects. Hang in there.

I assume you ruled out possible critters as being the culprits.

That's horrible. One can only hope that it's children who have no concept of "intent" yet.

The peak of my day was finding a place online that has all the parts I want for my wood stove.
The pit was going through the order process and seeing that they want to charge nearly $70 for USPS shipping!!

There's nothing heavy in the order: 2 light rope gaskets, a small door handle, and an aluminum air intake box (4"x4"x6".) The entire order weights less than 5#. I detest places that low-ball pricing and make profit on inflated freight costs. And it makes me wonder if they really have this stuff in stock or if they buy-to-order. So I put 4 emails out to other stores getting pricing.

    Pit
My mind has been drifting to medical problems past and current. It's kinda a boring read so I'm not sure why I'm even posting it other than maybe an explanation why I haven't been so active on SOC.
My wife since the summer of 2020 has had nothing but medical issues. She is currently being treated for breast cancer she just had her second chemo this week. It's just been a mess trying to keep her protected from other ailments. I myself I've been sick for three weeks now, just been to the doctor this week again for another round of antibiotics, I'm still not fully recovered. My daughter & her family live in an apartment in the house. We share some community areas bathroom, kitchen, laundry room etc. With our 3 grandchildren having access to these area's it's difficult to keep my wife isolated when they are sick, which seem to be every other week. Today the 3 have a stomach virus they have been vomiting most of the day. I know my wife immune system is comprised, so we try to wear mask when they are sick and near and limit the kids to their bedrooms. We have been washing & sanitizing as much as possible.
The summer 2020 my wife suffered extreme intestinal pains. she suffered through a weekend refusing to see a doctor or go to a hospital. That Monday I insisted she go to our doctor. The exam was a joke, the doctor seemed in a hurry, he listen and ordered a CT scan no thorough physical exam, no medicine. Our insurance has up to 48 hours to approve CT scan, so an appointment was made for Thursday. Tuesday she got drastically worse, I called emergency she was rushed to the hospital. She was taken immediately to surgery. Back then with covid I was not allowed to go to the hospital. The Surgeon called after a long wait, said she was septic and had peritonitis, and they had to give her a colostomy.
He also mentioned if I didn't call emergency when I did she would probably be dead. She spent 10 days in the hospital of which 5 were in ICU. When she came home their were Nurses visiting to check, clean, and redress the 10in. incision, and Nurses to train her on how to use the apparatus for the colostomy. 3 months later she tried having the colostomy reversal procedure, which 3 days after reattachment it ruptured, back to a colostomy and another 10 day in the hospital. She's decided to live with the colostomy and changing bags.
    Peak
She had her hair cut short then went to order a wig today.
I gained 2 followers, which really lites my candle. Thank You
Can someone explain how to add followers?
looking forward to being more active on SOC again.

Reading about your life right now makes my head spin, Tony. That's just so much to manage.

    Regarding "Following" somebody...

One way I know of it to click their name on any of their posts, then click Follow on the summary screen it brings up:

    Follow.jpg

The word "Follow" then changes to "UnFollow," so you can bring up that same screen later and click "UnFollow" to stop Following that person if you choose.

There are other ways to do this, but this is the easiest for me.

Thank you so much. We confined my grandkids to there bedrooms, and one of our 2 bathrooms. My wife used the other bathroom. We kept her isolated.
One of my grandkids seems to be over the stomach bug he was eating last nite with no problems, the other two couldn't even hold water down. Around 10 last night my four-year-old granddaughter's heart was beating very strong and her pulse was a high. My daughter called the doctor, he said she probably a little dehydrated and to give her Gatorade. At about 10:30 I went shopping for Gatorade, the grocery store was completely out of Gatorade. I was able to find a similar drink, and I picked up Pedialyte and ginger ale also. She got some fluids down and fell asleep in my daughter's arms. Hopefully today they will be over this bug.
