I ran across one of Ike's post, that I missed, and want to "replay" it for you: "When I first moved here, we could smoke in our apartments. Then, that changed to the outdoors. Some people complained they had to walk through smoke to get in the front door, so smokers were sent out back to the alley. I'll bet some of the same kind of people are the ones complaining about the "air quality" in my town, due to some manufacturers. There was an article in our newspaper about my town's terrible "air quality". I wrote a response saying simply, "That's what jobs smell like". The unemployment rate is usually low in my county, due to the diversity of products made".(2/26/16) I just love his response:"That's what jobs smell like"....hurry back, Ike!

It's cold and grey this morning on the Fife coast, but we had a pleasant group of visitors to brighten up the morning. Collective nouns do not always work very well, but a charm of goldfinches could not be more appropriate.

Raining today. I like it. I'll probably go to the shop clean up the chainsaw and sharpen chains today so I'll be ready to get busy when the rain stops. 'sposed to keep raining for two or three days. Maybe I'll think of something good to cook. "Keep your powder dry"

Good Morning everyone! Have a great day. We're into springtime stormy weather in Houston. .. seems to happen every year about this time. Very unsettled air over the area. We're expecting a rainy, windy few days down on the Gulf Coast. I'm hearing maybe up to 10 inches of rain, and it's time to tie everything down outside. WINDY !!
