I made the potato salad this morning, and it is in the fridge chilling. I have the chicken seasoned and letting it absorb some of the seasoning, and then I will put it on to roast in the Gourmia cooker early this afternoon. Not sure what time Robin will be up and about, but once the chicken is done, it can just be on the keep warm setting until she gets here. I always make my potato salad just the way my mother made it when I was growing up, so of course, it still has to be served in her old 1950’s Melmac bowels, like she always did. Even though it is hard to find that kind of Melmac anymore, I still have some of her old set, and this is what my kids grew up having potato salad served in also; so I guess it is a family tradition, of sorts.
-Salad -Steak & shrimp fajita burrito -Refries -Spanish Rice (Woulda had guac but the avocados are hard as rocks)
My son is cooking tonight.....We're having chicken thighs(he uses oven) summer squash, zucchini, brussel sprouts and iced coffee.
In the oven, seasoned potatoes with celery, zucchini, onions, and pecan roasted Holmes sausage . A a bit of Baked It. bread to go along with it.
I walked into the kitchen to make a salad & pasta, and walked out with a burger and fries. I musta taken a wrong turn.
I got some leftover bbq pulled pork, so dinner's gonna be a burrito with pork, guac, refries, salsa, sour cream and cheese. I'm not sure about sides yet...likely rice.
