@Bonnie Thomas , my dog isn't bothered by thunder or lightening or fireworks at all. We rarely get thunderstorms So you'd think he would notice the few we get but he shows no sign of even noticing.
@Diane Lane , and @Bonnie Thomas , you two are smart to be indoors right now. I have several appointment today, and it's one of my volunteering days at the VA, so I'm already soaked. Yes I'm a fool and feel so right now as I drip all over the place.
Good morning Ladies, rub dryer sheets on your dogs fur if they're afraid of thunder. That's what I read works….let us know if it worked for you
Dryer sheets???? Hmmmm, reduces static electricity. Could static electricity from the storm be felt by dogs and that's what makes them scared? I thought it was the noise.
Funny about dryer sheets, if I drop one when getting things out of the dryer, Pickles will grab it and roll around in it. I have no idea why, but he does smell nice afterwards.
Well that didn't work, and I'm back home. We have a saying here that concerns driving in storms and it is, "Turn Around, Don't Drown". I'm always surprised at how many people think this is a joke, but people die here almost everytime we get flooding conditions. I was going to put a picture of a 'dripping wet grandma' here, but when I put those three words in Google I got more than I bargained for. Now I understand when other say, "I wish I could unsee that."
INA! You're a treasure, @Ina I. Wonder ! You made me giggle on a day that I had to do all three sets of taxes and it's driving me up a wall... didn't think anything could make me smile today, but "dripping wet grandma".... I don't even want to *imagine* what showed up on Google for that... it's a visual I wouldn't be able to erase, like you said! Thanks, Ina!
And YOU went to check it out, @Terry Page ?! You people are so dear to me... I really needed this today.
Yes Mari I know never to put dripping and wet and any female term together in Google unless you want a shock @Mari North
YIKES! I PEEKED! @Terry Page , you had to look through quite a few to get the image you posted for Ina, cause I did not see that on the first page of images before I x'd out of there.
