What's For Supper?

    Thanks to a delay at the eye doctor, I filled the time going to Walmart and snagged 6 boxes of Marie Calendar Wisconsin White Cheddar and Mac in white cheese sauce. So far it is the only frozen meal I really enjoy and can say it is the best mac and cheese ever, including expensive restaurants. However, I already have some chicken tenders next in my menu que so chicken parmesan with green beans, it is. I will have to don my big girl apron to pull off this intensive dish.

    I don't drink anymore but I use a lot of wine when I cook. Tonite I am making spaghetti sauce. Very lean beef, sauteed onions, our best canned tomatoes, red wine, seasonings, tomato paste. I can put it over noodles with cheese curds, make a lasagne or plain old spaghetti. Whatever anyone chooses. I am having it over rigatoni with curds and one of my weird salads.

    Upon rewarming my coffee in the microwave I discovered last suppers green beans still in the microwave. Twice warmed green beans for supper but I don't think I can do leftovers of the Parmesan Chicken. I think my Prego sauce was bad. I may call a friend and suggest a lunch road trip out to a small country town where they still have a mom-and-pop place that makes the best biscuits and gravy. They aren't stingy with the gravy like the chain places around here and their biscuits are great and not hard or aluminum tasting. Their brisket is the best I have ever eaten. Their peach cobbler eludes words.

    Beef tamales with some chili on top, cheese, chips. Maybe leftover chili beans . @Beth Gallagher - cant drink really until I finish this steroid meds. :(

    Got a chuck roast in the crock pot; making Mississippi Pot Roast. I'll make rice or mashed potatoes to go with it, green peas and probably a cucumber/tomato salad.

    mini meatloaf, new potatoes , tiny English peas, focaccia bread, and a tad of tomato gravy

    out of curiosity what time do all you supper people eat at night? this time of year we eat around 6:30 6:45.

    G--we rarely eat breakfast or lunch, so we have dinner early. We usually eat around 4 p.m. or so, then have dessert around 8 while watching TV.
