It is all about USPS and UPS using newer employees and keeping them on part-time and making it impossible for them to make seniority. They give them impossible numbers they must achieve before they can advance. New hires are on six-month probation and can be fired for any or no reason. They are saving millions doing this. Customer service is a thing of the past. After our long-time postman retired, I have five different people that make my deliveries. One of them told me that when they started if they missed a place they went back, but after getting threatened with their job, they just put missed mail in someone else's box.
Beth explained it, so all I will add is all my leggings are nylon/spandex as they breathe best. I avoid the poly ones, especially the heavy winter ones. I like wearing leggings with skirts but I never like the skirt over jeans look.
I just ordered Miki a cooling pad. Poor dear gets too hot even with the AC on. She has long hair and an undercoat.
We do lots of on line purchases. I think the last thing I ordered was oatmeal, vitamins, and a couple of lawn mower tires.
Tried to talk myself out of the ice cream maker attachment for my mixer but then the sale coupon sucked me in. I'm weak.
Place an order with Walmart on Sunday, supposed to arrive tomorrow: I've been thinking of getting one of these for a while, not only to wash my car under but for when I do projects in the driveway. It had the fewest angry reviews
Spot on, my rural route man for UPS had 150 stops and that was 35 years ago. I ask him once if he would like to come in and have his lunch in the air conditioning and he didn't have time. all those old drivers are long gone now and it is all new people. I totally gave up on FEDEX 4 years ago waiting for a new flat screen TV from walmart. I finally had walmart cancel that order and attempt another. Two weeks after the second had already arrived and being watched the first one mysteriously showed up. It isn't like they don't know or have the ability to know where I live, they don't have time to use a smart phone to look at google maps or other maps to actually see how to deliver, they don't care. I love it when orders are mailed to me, I know I will get them in a reasonable time span. My last order the new joystick arrived Saturday so I wasn't able to get to the post office to receive it. I did that yesterday morning before my shopping. The ultimate insult is to have one or the other tell you to pick it up at the shipping center, (80) mile round trip from where I live !!! I don't do things like that because there isn't anything important enough to make me drive 80 miles to retrieve something I paid to have delivered.
I've already mentioned how regional this stuff seems to be. I place a Walmart order 10:30AM Sunday, and Fed Ex just dropped off a package 10:00AM Tuesday. That is my typical experience. I hope it does not change.
My new handmade flat-brimmed summer western hat arrived today! My friend says I look like Crocodile Dundette, but what does she know, she is just a Shelia.
I have a grocery order coming in a little while. I'm so excited because they have recently resumed alcohol delivery, so I can have beer brought to the door. Life is good.
After a dozen photos, I decided the hat looked better on a fence post than on my head for photographing. It is so cool to wear especially with a light breeze. Much cooler than a straw hat. Very light and washable.
I bought one of these window beds last week and, after ignoring it for a few days, Ella and Bubba are now fighting over it, so I ordered another one. I have two windows in my office, after all.
