Okay, I finally finished a bag so that I could start on another. I think I've had the Black Rifle "Beyond Black" blend before, but I don't remember for sure. From the name and the aroma when I opened the bag, I feared that it would be stronger than I liked but, although it is fairly strong, it has a good taste.
I guess I don't mind strong coffee when it tastes good. My past experience with strong coffee has been with the typical restaurant or gas station coffee, in which the only definable taste would be along the lines of "strong" or "bitter." Or maybe my tastes are changing. I used to prefer a light brew, but sometimes the light brews taste like hot water with a hint of coffee.
And, whilst enjoying your coffee, here’s a bit of entertainment from someone who is very serious about coffee…..
Black Rifle is very good also Community Dark Roast, my current stash is Kirkland Dark from Costco, probably my #1 would be Community Dark also I drink it black. Our local stop for snacks and fuel on fishing trips has great coffee (free for vets) and we asked what is it "Community Dark" You show vet status and buy a logo cup and your coffee is free for life they say.
Do you like restaurant coffee?? At home, we drink Folgers Instant Coffee Crystals. We don't know what brand of coffee local restaurants here serve, but, other than Waffle House, three restaurant's coffee here is absolutely awful. Breakfast Club, Golden Corral and iHop. It's so bad, we have decided, and are now doing, taking a small plastic container filled with our Folgers coffee. We just ask for a cup of hot water and put our coffee in. And, a little added on thing here, we take a senior vitamin, plus some supplements, daily and take them with us, in a small plastic container, whenever we eat breakfast or supper out. We don't ever see any seniors taking vitamins wherever we eat out. Guess we are a weird couple that does it.
I just got an email from Black Rifle. They have a free shipping code (with purchase over $35 ), good through August 28. Small print (so apparently not "on all orders")...
I'm still getting monthly orders from Black Rifle. It's hard to keep up during the summer because I don't drink as much coffee as I do in the winter.
It just irks me when a retailer says one thing "FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS", but then the small print gives the restrictions. Department stores are notorious for having "SITEWIDE" discounts and then so many exemptions that it usually amounts to 10 things on sale and the stuff you really want isn't included.
Actually, when I read the fine print, I'm not sure I understand what you think is exempt from the offer. I think "coffee, gear and apparel" was meant to include all the stuff they sell.
It says "ALL ORDERS", so I'd expect if I bought a single bag of coffee for $19 then shipping is free. Unfortunately, it is not "ALL ORDERS," but orders over $35.
