I am going to be trying to be more wild. And stay on Dr Berg's keto. I can usually do his keto diet for about a day and a half For brunch I had steamed lambs quarters. Hubby tried them and said they had no flavor. I think they taste a little like asparagus. But they will only be good, picked, for a couple more weeks to me. For dinner I put a couple strips of bacon in a pan, fried them for the grease, put in chopped onions, poured over three scrambled home grown eggs, laid on them steamed nettle then grated cheese. It is basically an omlette. It is huge! Definitely filling for a diet dinner. Maybe I can stay on it for two days.
I picked up a coupled of bacon-wrapped pork medallions at ALDI that I might grill. I'm not sure why the pig-on-pig thing, but we'll see how it is.
turns out we skipped it all except the chicken. added an avocado, couple of crackers and I had a beer
BBQ baby back ribs, potato salad, baked beans, beer. I made a pound cake yesterday to try out a new recipe from a youtube video. It was made with Crisco and no butter, and is the driest cake I ever tried to eat. I decided to make a glaze to try to help moisten it but that didn't help much, so we'll have to use it as a base for shortcake or something.
I had fresh strawberries and blackberries, so I muddled some in a bowl with a couple of spoons of sugar. Got a tub of CoolWhip out of the freezer, too. So we'll be using the sawdust cake as a base for the fruit and fake cream.
