I took these pictures during a boat trip on the Firth of Forth, on the east coast of Scotland. We visited Bass Rock, a small island, but one that is important for seabirds, particularly the huge colony of gannets.
Very possibly, but I can't give a definitive answer. The island is for birds only, so the only people that set foot there are nature wardens, etc.
I remember this afternoon by a fountain in the centre of Bratislava, taking photos of water and fountains has always fascinated me.
Bratislava is definitely a place that has a plethora of photo opportunities. There are lots of weird and wonderful sculptures, including the "manhole cover" and the Napoleonic soldier.
The pictures of Bratislava posted by Terry and me made me think about street sculpture. I think sculptures add a bit of fun and character to a place, but we don't seem to go for them much in the UK. I was reminded of one of the few in Edinburgh and since I knew I'd be walking past it yesterday, I took a photo. The sculpture is a recognition of the brewing industry in the west of Edinburgh. There used to be several breweries, but the tradition lives on at the Caledonian Brewery, still operating in that part of the city.
