PIT - I had another episode today of feeling like I was going to pass out. It started on the 4th, I attributed the feeling to fireworks smoke, I was having difficulty breathing. So far every episode went away after sitting and resting for about a half hour. Getting pressure from my wife to see a doctor. Once it passes I feel good.

Peak - Went to my favorite Bakery and purchase every flavor of donut and bun they had on display. Fortunately during the week they don't make all the varieties of donuts and buns like they do for the weekend. I had my jelly donut and crumb bun, so I'm set until the next urge hits me.

You certainly should get the "passing out " feeling checked as it could be something serious or it could be something that could be easily fixed. Do you have dizziness or vertigo? Have you experienced blood pressure issues? Do you get it when you change position, like standing up or sitting down? Just some things think about.

Even I would consider getting that checked out. I had an episode like that once when I was pregnant. Pretty sure you can rule that out quickly. If the doctor finds anything of concern, you can decide on what of whether to take action.

With the exception of finally going to bed, yesterday was a mess.

Started out good because my coffee was good but it went downhill from there.

We had to make a few stops yesterday and the first stop was the bank. Yvonne breezed through but on my end, not so much. I save one’s so I had a couple hundred of them to deposit but one of the counter machines was iffy so the teller went to another machine to count the ones. After making the deposit, the signature machine was on the fritz and he unplugged it and wiggled a few wires, plugged it back in then had to reboot the thing. About 10 minutes later it finally worked and I finally got out of there.

Then it was off to Walmart.
I grabbed a pack of 3X tank tops and when it was finally my turn to be cashed out, the cashier had ought with someone down the line. NO, I can’t take that check! It’ll freeze my computer! she yelled. Then she left her position and went all the way around so she could argue with the trolly bound lady whilst I stood there waiting for my transaction to be completed.
I looked at the guy next to me and fairly loudly questioned the obvious, “why the heck didn’t she just call a supervisor and stick with cashiering”?
She finally came back and we completed our transaction.

After going to Walmart we headed for the UAB (hospital) and I already wrote about that episode along with my conversation with collections when we got home in the rants.

I was expecting two packages from USPS and nope, even though the packages have been at the post office for the last 2 days, they didn’t arrive.

Finally, thinking that nothing else can go awry, I opened my package of 3X tank tops and tried one of them on. WHY, says I, do they think that 3X means that we bigger guys want a t-shirt to go down to our knees? I have a 54” chest and large lats and that’s what a 3X shirt is supposed to fit !! I want a Bigger Shirt, not a longer shirt!

Again, the high point of Thursday was going to bed.

Today is Friday. The day is starting good because the coffee is good.

We got insurance issues out here in the country. I was with Allstate on my prior home from 1978 through 2010, and they never came by to inspect once. Allstate has been by here twice in the past 12 years. I helped my neighbor put up a deck because his insurance company inspected his place and sent a non-renewal letter due to the condition of his back steps. I have a friend who is scrambling to clean up her property because State Farm is doing the same thing. I hear other stories around here.

Apparently they don't like underwriting these places that are on wells...there are no municipal fire hydrants. If you have a fire they bring the water truck. Makes you wonder why they underwrite these homes in the first place.

I hope you find something suitable.

Some companies won't insure us because our house is not visible from a paved road. We live only a few blocks from a fire station, but that doesn't matter. Livestock and a dog team used to matter too, but those are no longer issues.

A friend almost got his insurance cancelled because he had firewood stacked outside and there was an implied risk of what he was burning it in inside.

Allstate must have seen this and the ones stacked behind it at my place:

They said nothing. I understand that having a heat pump helps, since there's the implication that wood is not my sole source of heat. But still...

Allstate refused to insure my house because there are some asbestos shingles on two sides. Farm Bureau didn't think it was a problem. They had a better deal anyway.

The only real pits I had today was the kind one forgets to put deodorant on before going to the gym. (whew)
The peak of that is, I found that in a pinch, liquid hand soap at the gym works wonders.

I live with similar episodes. It is related to my inner ear disorder. Age has brought on the difficulty in breathing along with it. You might try drinking a 20% protein drink along with your donuts are any other sugar or sugar-producing food. Especially as we age our brain becomes more sensitive to changes and reacts this way. The inner ear is part of the brain and does deteriorate with age and imbalances that once didn't affect it, will now. Our balance depends on keeping a balance in our inner ear fluids, potassium, and sodium. Try always having some protein with that donut. Maybe just a slice of cheese. Maybe the old Bobby Cole spoon of peanut butter. :) I am betting this simple dietary act may help you, but do go see a doctor.

Enjoy your donuts, but remember the part of it that isn't pure sugar, converts into pure sugar rather rapidly. I might mention that stress plays a big part in how our brain controls our balance. You have been going through a stressful time and maybe some relaxation techniques might help alleviate these episodes.

The pit --- was the rodeo thread and my decision to unignore one that doesn't know how to carry on an intelligent discussion. One that dismisses others' experiences and opinions. One that doesn't care to learn the history of what they claim to love. I found that if one is ignored on a thread it loses continuity and therefore not worth the effort to participate in.

The peak -- I decided to leave that thread for good.

Peak #2 - Ignore feature reactivated as a trolling deterrent.

Your decision! But, I know a whole lot about PRCA rodeo (and note, PRCA rodeo, not other rodeo organizations). IOW, Faye, I don't have to "learn" things I already know and have expertise in............just like you. You don't need to learn things you already know and have expertise in.
